shakalaka weekend..

other than rushing for reflection paper for Effective Communication, reviewing computing stuffs, studying for Principles of Economics test this thursday, doing the loads of revision on physics and chem and maths as well as doing tutorials for this week, I spent the whole weekend in my hall.. But not really, this was what happened..

Friday: I skipped 2 lectured due to my dental appointment.. orh... went to NDC to see dr tey, who confirmed that we can try to book the OPERATION THEATRE for my JAW operation as soon as 18th December (but muz b at Changi General Hospital coz SGH all booked le).. gotta see if they have the equipments.. so if all goes well, U all can come hospital visit the all new Isaac.. ( yes, I will literally have a new FACE. yeah.. shuai ge in the making.. oops..) Then after the rounds of x-ray and checks and calls, despite not being able to confirm, i was still glad. coz it is finally coming.. i waited three years le.

after d dental appt, i went Gorgeous Solarium, a new concept sun tanning studio at Tanjong Pagar for my complimentary tan that i won thru a online contest.Ok lo.. coz until now i still dun see the effect.. orh.....

Saturday: I studied till around 1130 before pei-ing weizhi out shopping coz his girlfriend cud nt accompany him.. am I a good friend or a good substituent... lolx.. but it was fun going out with such a not bad looking and quite trendy dancer.. haha.. we went Bugis and have lunch n walk walk.. very crowded lo.. they were having this Singapore Male Calendar Guys event.. but hor, after we stared at the photos of the supposedly hunky n muscular guys, we juz cudn't decide which one looked good. neh mind.. and at bugis village, I passed a simple hair cut salon.. at it only cost $16 for a cut+wash+style.. so after contemplating, i decided to give it a try, since i'm there.. wow, he really dare to cut lo.. and gave the the style i always tried to get, but the Jean Yip ppl n Klearcut ppl nv dared to do till tis extreme.. once again, its the hair of a uber non-engineering look for a engineering student...


then in evening, I went to see shakalaka baby Kelly. she really skinny n quite pretty.. thru Y.E.S 933 contest, i won a chance to take pic wif her n also get a autographed tee shirt n poster..


Oh ya, let me name who i met @ bugis tt day: pri friend jing wen, sec sch friend nathania, bmt friend weiquan, 3sig friend yezhe, hall4friend lijing and many more.. whoa.. bugis is the place man.

sunday: cut short: study, go collect race pack for next week New Balance Real Run, went May Shan's 21st birthday at Aloha Loyang Terrace 8, then came back hall early coz they all got car can stay late.. argh.. but nvm.. i got guest in my room.. Mark stayed last nite coz he had party in hall6.. haha.. hope u rested well n not with much aches around.. do pop by again future k.. ( oh year, toking about tt, I DID AREA CLEANING lo. I wiped the table and FAN and cupboard top and sweep n mop the floor.. whoa.,. tiring job despite small room....)

Whoa.. i spent my weekend at a park.. king albert park tt is..

suddenly feel the vibes..

seem juz yesterday when i went there after school back in JC years to study for A levels, doing my TYS for chem and maths endlessly, writing my GP essays. I remember the times when i went over to Bt Timah food centre for dinner of pasta/slice fish beehoon/carrot cake because the food at McD was far too ex (at tt time onli $5.20 and i was comnplaining lo). I remember dearly walking down to cold storage for drinks and snacks or juz walk walk coz i was bored..

times are different now, i got my macbook and iPod (last time onli got sony discman lo) with me, i dun have TYS anymore, i got my K800i to snap photos of ppl ( tt time my phone was onli a nokia 3310 la!)

when i see the sec sch kids there.. whoa.. how i wish i was a sec sch kid.. or a jc kid.. unlike now.. hmm.. i really enjoy the time i spend there.. altho i think the management hates me. coz the onli thing i bot was a cone, and it cost 60c! (last time 25c onli lo!)

I have to admit now. My on and off "relationship" with one of the most important in my life is, well, not all true. The not true part? That he is in the army. Sorry to those who i have bluffed. No, he is not in navy. It is another of my friend. But I had my reasons for saying why i had to say "he was in army". But i just can't tell you all.

Clarification: He is still in Singapore Poly, studying accountancy. 20 years old.

I know this will get all of you who knows us confused, as those who heard my "army" story. Just that... well, its our common decision, so we had to use the story! For now, let us all forget it, all right. We will set it back to him being in Singapore poly and is a student as he always was.

He is still a part time newurbanmale ambassador, altho he works less often now. And recently, he was spotted to be part of Hey! Gorgeous. Yup. If u noe who it is then good, if u dun, then too bad. Well.. He "has a girlfriend" for "a long time" le.

The two of us lead a life where only the two of us can explain. Lolx. Just follow my story and it will be simpler. Ok?

This is an important message

Singapore is fast becoming a global nation, and much things have changed. Attitudes about issues are fast changing, and many people are now more open minded. We all know that and believe that, but are we really moving forward?

Rest assured. I am not one of them. Neither am i another gay advocate/activist. But i just came across this, and understood the message behind. I am trying to bring this message out to a wider audience. I support my other friends. We all know the need for repeal.

Like i said, hall 4 is centrally located n food is just a walking distance away. This week, i kick off my supper column wif fish ball noodles at extension, coffee shop next to city harvest n nanyang cc. Its ok la, the sauce quite hot, but noodle is a tad too dry. But choices after 11 is limited. If zi Char n fried chicken is not wat u wan, then muz settle for this le. And for drinks, all i can say is VERY VERY EXPANSIVE. But no choice, only 1 stall. This meal cost $3.70. Rating for noodle=*** three, not too bad, but nothing to scream about.. Supper lovers, jio me out K.. Explore other food!

Its D Day!

Yesterday night was exciting. Although the rally for the elections wasn't exactly that fierce and furious, there was some interesting things brought up. Guessed the same questions popped up to fellow runners each year and at each hall.. The same problems probably arises. And I began to think deep into how I can help improve the life of people in the hall, and seeing again the responsibility of a jcrc member.

The whole preparation since nomination day last thursday till now, it all boils down to the polling days tonight and tomorrow. Btw, I've been real sick since monday, from slight fever to sore throat, to continuous sneezing and spreading germs all around to now juz coughs! Irritating!! Hopefully when all the votes are counted tomorrow and everything is settled, no matter the outcome, I will feel better, most importantly gaining experience in something I have always wanted to be part of, an election.. lolx!

Thought of the days back then in PJC, why oh why did I missed out the chance to be in student council? What could have happened if I did nominate myself back then? I really wonder. But now, after the whole pre-election process here at ntu hall 4, I feel satisfied and relieved, that all prep work is done, and it now lies in the hands of the voters. Like I said, I don't care about the outcome, if i win, great, if i lose, I will still actively participate in future activities.. Tis is juz the start of an exciting hall life for me!

But still, I wana use every opportunity to ask anyone who is eligible, VOTE 4 ME!!!

Hello again people!

I've always been casual wif my blog, posting more pix than writing. So for this week, its weird for me, really.. Haha. Btw, if you are a hall 4 resident, I would sincerely want to thank you for taking the time to log on to this page.

After this two days of campaigning, I am very very excited and pleased with the reactions I have received. To tell you the truth, I feel very relaxed, and not really too bothered about the voting. I am more concerned that I put in my best effort.

I take this as a very rare opportunity for me to go around knocking doors, although some might take it as being a pest! But still, it was great going around to let you know who I am and what I can offer. Also, I made friends along the way. You know, although not every door i went to opened, but majority did, and i could speak to you, making this whole stay in hall 4 much more enjoyable!

I always had the passioned in giving gifts la, so the small token was just another of my way of saying thanks, and hope that we can be friends!

If you still have doubt on my ability and whether or not I can uphold the task, do feel free to read my previous post to get to know me better! Judge for yourself on who suits the post best. Feel free too to come down for the rally to clear any doubts on Wednesday, 5th September, Hall 4 podium! See you there also at the polls, 6th sept 8-11pm, 7th sept 6.30-9pm.

Cultural Secretary Nominee - Isaac Lim Jue Hao

Hello there, Ohmer! (hall IV resident..),

A very good day to you. And thank you for reading my blog.

I suppose that I have visited you or left you a note to bring you here. Thus, I shall take this opportunity to thank you for visiting, and giving me this chance to let you know more about me. Hope that you will read through and make informed choices for the upcoming elections.

Firstly, the cultural secretary should have the ability to lead and organise the cultural groups in the hall, to plan and hold performances as and when necessary to entertain the hall.

On this point, I shall re-iterate my abilities. For drama side, I am a playwright, winning the Singapore Young Dramatist Awards, a national challenge, twice. And since young, I have been actively involved in drama and speech, acting in performances, directing, backstage, props and stage management. I was chosen to be part of TheatreWorks Writers' Lab Greenhouse, and am currently a part-time actor and also director-in-learning with local theatre groups like Drama Box, TheatreWorks, W!ld Rice, The Necessary Stage...

Dance wise, I learned dances from Drama during productions especially musicals, trying out hip hop, contemporary, MTV. I am not excellent in dance, but i know the techniques required and have a passion for it.

Music should be my key talent. Singing with choir since primary school in Nanyang Primary to Pioneer JC, I varied from a Sop2 to a tenor now. But in recent years, I've moved on to Solo singing. I was talent scouted by M5 Music and Artiste Management, and have been trained and performed live aside prominent artistes. I learned vocal techniques, as well as song writing. Although I do not play instruments nor do I write songs, but i write lyrics and co-composes with my friends. In recent months, I am also learning event and artiste management.

I do not know what you look for in the candidate you will choose for this post, but I sincerely hope that you will pick me. I am a fun and hearty guy, knowing how to chill and knowing when to be serious. Know me better. Vote for me at the elections.

Hey, resident of hall 4!

I’m Isaac Lim Jue Hao, and I’m running for the post of Cultural Secretary.

Why Cultural Secretary? This is because I have the passion to serve the hall, and an immense interest in arts and culture. And what makes me different? I have the experience and ability to perform and organize performance.

I’ve won the Singapore Young Dramatist Award twice, am a part-time actor with TheatreWorks and W!ildRice, and performer cum lyricist-composer with M5 Artiste Management. I’m also a SPH Student Correspondent, having organized Student Culture Camp and National Cultural Symposium. To sum it up, I’ve experience in drama, directing, singing, composing, dance, etc.

Miloboi Ntu food search 1

Hey hey.. Its time i start this write up about nice and good food found around Ntu. And to start off, its waffles. This is one rare time that i enjoy it wif ice cream. Normally i'm fine eating it plain or wif kaya/peanut butter. The auntie who makes it in the afternoon have a better time guage, so it turns out hot n fluffy, n still soft when cold. Yup. Plain one cost 80c, wif simple spread cost $1 to $1.50, add $1 for a scoop of ice cream over a plain waffle. There's also muah chee n steam corn. And the stall is at Ntu canteen 2, centralised n accessible. Look out for more food on Absolutmilo.

Miloboi cuts hair, again.

Tis is Juz for my own reference.. I cut my hair, Juz half of my head, again on wednesday. It feels better. The weather was quite hot.. But this few days become rainy.. So unpredictable lo the weather.. But i like this style.. Got feel..

The biggest double rooms in Ntu. The nearest halls to the food at ah fang n j west extension. A good canteen. Beautiful scenery at Yunnan garden. 2 ceiling fans per room. Cool, fresh n spacious. Near to school and all other places. The ultimate meeting place. Its Hall 4!

end of CAC camp.. looking forward to Hall camp

well well.. i'm currently in the midst of my 2nd 24 hr playwriting competition now. i'm right now up at lvl 16 of the national library, and having a writers block.. haha..

since i'm now quite free n have ample time, and not much of an idea what to write yet, i shall round up the past 5 days at ntu cac camp. it was really really fun, having made a group of really nice friends.

although there was draggy parts and long waits, but most of the activities were fun. i really think tt my og should have been best og coz we are juz crazy and we had a great grp of gl's. we mastered the skill of "zi-high", and played many fun games. i also learned many dumb stuffs as well as new lingos. cheers, "bai chi" n evolution aside, i tink we bonded well.. but i'm dissapointed wif myself for being too weak..

i had a great sp (secret pal) but i was too shy.. lolx.. if by any chance ying jie you might read tis, hello! u are great! haha..

items i had deep memory about included the fright night.. really creatively lo.. and for the sp initiation night. i really did not expect the whole mess despite being warned to wear unwanted clothes. and to the finale night, although it dragged too long, but our grp went frm most unprepared to the most "high" grp., everyone was so high lo..

alot of things to remember about the camp la, it inspired me to join cac and be an exco (oops).. and be part of the foc next year.. lolx. hope everybody enjoyed. and thanks to all the great people: to Pollia OGs HongDa, Corina n KaiNing, u guys are great.. now really looking forward to hall camp. went to collect my keys today morning, and saw my room le, although a little old, but the space quite big and cooling. hall 4 will be my second home.. come visit me if free okay, anyone!

We were at pariss at marina square for our secret pal night. I think we ate alot. N i tink wei jian n his sp cannot link.. Oops.. And it was the first time the 2 of us went clubbing, but to dxo la.. Quite a quiet place..n wj even ask me to chuan shou him dance moves. Like i always say, its natural, Juz move to the music, no correct moves de. N he is quite cool dancer. Suddenly, majiam we 2 great friendly!

Squeezy nite out at Zouk

Had quite alot of fun, free drinks, free Gatsby moving rubber and songs to go along at Gatsby moving rubber launch last nite at Zouk. But it was far too crowded like any other day at Zouk, and phuture was way way overloaded.. Remembered the nite i worked there. Tinking of it, i understand why i quit. Haha. But was wif Yik how, he was really trying to enjoy himself wif the gals ard, but i spoilt the nite by wanting to leave early. Sorry! Oh ya. We saw Jasen at the event.. Hi Jasen! Long time no see le:) and on our way, we saw jun jiang. Wanted to meet Jasen but he disappeared again... Mayb we will only meet again in 4 years time..(coz the last i saw him was 4 yrs ago...) So hard to meet there friends nowadays.. Coz we always stick to the same old group! Suddenly got the urge to go back to clubbing scene again.. Hmm. Mayb mos or clinic or butter factory... Anyone?

The title says it all! Yeah! I'm enjoying the party right here at cafe del mar. Right now Soda green is performing on stage. They are a great band, and later on, there's gary Cao ge! Its my paper's 1st birthday party!

Healthy tan!

Yup. I'm getting darker by the shade. And i hope to get even darker. But i seriously hope my skin doesn't peel! Ouch. I went to get my 1st indoor tan at bugis today. My! Am i much more brown now! And oh ya, i saw Julian Hee yesterday at the tanning parlour yesterday! I was so Stunned that i forgot to ask him for a photo or signature! Argh! Nvm. I shall go back to tan regularly in hope to see him! Haha. Hope my tan will turn out to be nice and Sexy* Ooh! *for ur info, each indoor tanning last 15 mins, and is almost equal to 3 hours in real hot sun.. But very expansive la.

Cherry cheese cake

Yup. Tis lovely cheese cake is made by me. And it does not require baking at all! Its really nice, relatively healthy, and a fantastic dessert. It only take 10 mins to make, then leave in freezer for 2 hours. Simple! And u can make variants to it! Wow. This was made by me together wif vinc for our 1yr 1 month anniversary. Thank u dar.

Younger miloboi

A new hair cut after almost 3 months, more style, look younger and definitely cooler. The temperature these few days have been scorching. Ooh! Sweating like hell. But the humidity only make me wan2 stay at home to sleep in air con comfort. Hopefully can find one day to go relax, chill, swim and enjoy the sun. Yeah. Any body wants to go sentosa? Hehe. Or who wan2 go swimming? Sms jio me leh. Dun mind showing u my extra fats! Haha.

Never considered buying there seaweed to snack. But my colleague bot a big pack, so i decided to steal a pack. Hehe. Quite nice, long time no eat le. Thinking back to primary school, 1 packet 10 cents. Haha. Those were the days.

Yup. Its all over. I'm officially 21 and the party lights have faded. Back to Isaac now! First, i want to thank all those friends and relatives who turned up and for all your presents. I must tell u that u guys are great. Thank you for ur time and effort! I apologise that i did not have the time and opportunity to greet each person individually, and the whole place was too hot. Sorry i might not have been a good host and there might b some hiccups. But i want to thank all for being there and ur invaluable gifts. take SLE/TPE, and exit to Loyang Ave (towards Changi Village). *

If you're coming from the west,
you can either take AYE/ECP or PIE to TPE/SLE, and exit to Loyang Ave (towards Changi Village). *
