SINGTEL SUCKS!

I was tempted. I thought a new IPOD NANO would be cool. So I called SingNet up sometime in October to renew my contract. Until sometime before exams they came to my house to fix the new line, together with MIO TV, my wireless modem.

LIKE SHIT! I should have believed whoever it was who told me tt mio sucks(i tink it was roger).

After the first day they set up and the connection was right, the next time i switched on the modem again (last friday when I finally went home), the internet was down.

On monday, when I called up the TECHNICAL HELPDESK, the kind soul whose Engrish pronunciation was HORRIBLE, helped me to gain internet access again.. tts after 2 hours on the phone doing dumb checks after checks after checks. Right!

Then i turned it off to save electricity(like the clean n green campaign says), and at night when i came home and tried turning it on again, it failed! BLOODY SHIT! WAS I SUPPOSE TO KEEP IT ON ALL THE TIME? I would rather have cabled modem lo. wireless service by singtel sucks big time. I have to find a way soon to settle it.

Now, I am sitting comfortably in my room back in NTU blogging. So nice to have net connection...

Well, heres a round up of what i did the past 6 days.. lolx..

sleep, watch tv, eat sleep. Lolx.. I sleep at 3am and normally dun wake up till around 2pm. Haha.

However, I did manage to do quite some things.

Like I fianlly got to taste DONUT FACTORY's donuts.. haha..

I got my donutsat the suntec stall, and waited for five minutes before I could get mine, despite me being the 3rd in the queue. Conclusion: ITS NOT THAT POPULAR THAT THE QUEUE IS LONG, its just that the service is slow and most of the time its the patrons like me who take donkey years standing in front of the display thinking and choosing my flavours. Haha. But I think the donuts are too sweet. Still looking forward to new franchises which will come about soon, like Krispy Kreme, coming real soon to Singapore (last i heard of la..)

That was last SUNDAY! haha..

I also collected my Singapore Marathon Race entry pack. Preparing for my 10km run this coming Sunday. So exciting. Will aim to do really well this time.

Christmas shopping continues this week. And so do food sessions. U know, my operation on 18th december, after tt almost 6 weeks cannot eat.. haiz~ so now muz eat..

i ate quite alot this past weeks, thai express, ajisen, sakae sushi, western food, malay food, chinese food... haha.

yesterday went out with my 3238/ NTU gang + roger.. we went PS to watch movie, took donkey years to decide wat to watch. haiz~ finally watched The Kingdom, about Saudi Arabia and Terrorists.. really vicious and scary..

Then I went shopping. Haha... Went to get a pair of Havaianas from NUM, who kindly sponsors this blog. and also got a Keffiyeh! Read up on it in my previous blog. I should be able to use it when I lie on the hospital bed..

Tomorrow, I shall go and donate blood TO MYSELF, haha.. for my operation use la.. need to do it 2 separate times.. coz I need 2 packets, just in case when I loose too much blood during the surgery. So off I am to the Blood Bank tomorrow!

I think I shall write till here for now. A little brain dead now. HAHA.. so many things happening, can't write them all down.

For now, I shall enjoy the rest of my holidays.. Going for a Epiphany meeting later and then I shall go fax all my things to Mindef for defering my ICT.. lolx..

FE1003 chemistry was quite okay. if nothing much goes wrong, i should get aroun 74% correct, lolx! So I really hope i can get a 'B' at least. Yeah! Just some calculation questions that I could not get right, and some naming that I think i got wrong, on the whole, it was WOOHOO! haha.. hope it stays lke tt... hehe

This IS the final dash for this semester.

It has been an exciting albeit tiring race for me.

Not knowing how I fare, I've been dashing through checkpoints after checkpoints.

The cheers were loud. The support was felt. But at many times I felt lonely.

There were times I felt that I was at my threshold. There was one time I nearly fell.

It all began like a disaster, but now I understand that each pit stop was but a check back at the real meaning behind it.

One last obstacle to cross, one last checkpoint to pass through, one last pit stop to reach.

I do not need to be the first to touch down. But I just want to finish it with glory and pride. I've fought hard, though not enough, I think. And I truly deserve the rewards that lies ahead of me.

1130. When the CE says "pens down", thats when it all ends. Will I be smiling exhilaratingly? Or will I have the "chao bin" again. I don't know. But I know I can say: "It's over!"

FE1003 - Chemistry. Probably the course I'm most confident in. Aiming high and far. I can do it.

FE1002 Physics II paper at 9am!

rub my eyes. see my phone. YES! 9.17am! ARGH!

HOW? I wore my clothes and my shoes, stuffed everything in my bag.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter exam hall after X hour.

Erm: X= 0.5 or 1? ARGH!

Rushed down, filled my water bottle, fly to bus stop. Blue line bus came juz in time! Reached Hall A at 0931. Double checked my seat number. At the door, i stared at the security guard uncle. I juz did not dare barge into Nanyang Audi. After checking with uncle, he said go in. So i went in, trying to look composed, thinking of excuses if necessary. (erm, sick, erm.. watever, none needed.) found my seat, fill in the cover page n began frantically writing, with my hands still shivering. Argh!

1st time in my life I am ever late for exams.

My grandest entrance into an examination hall, EVER!

Luckily i stayed in hall. Can u imagine if i came from home? (but maybe my mummy would ensure i woke up in time)

I shall never let this repeat itself again!

*on another note: Physics II was not that difficult after all. The questions were mainly manageable IF i studied harder and was more prepared. Haha. But on the whole, I still have to see how the others fared. Well, I hope i have the chance to get a decent grade. At least i tink so..

NOW, its biah all the way for Chemistry! One last paper.

Promise I will sleep early tomorrow! History shall never repeat myself, never!

The time now: 4am. The place: Bukit batok central's 麦当当(sic). The thing i'm doing: studying while waiting for first bus to go back Hall. Haha. I'm blogging using my k800i. Haha. Going to order my breakfast le, wat shall i eat? Haha. Well, i'm here because it is Juz not right to ask Eunice send me back to hall all the way, and i dun wan2 go home because home = sleep n no study n disturb mommy! Orh.. Aren't i sweet? Oh. Juz now went wif the chestnut people to Changi Airport to pick up Guan Yi who has finished her course in Sydney. So good. Then we went to Geylang for food. Dim Sum at lor 17, then bean curd n soy milk n you Tiao, then durians! Service quite good, altho very ex. I wish i ate the durians before my Econs paper.. Why? Because there was this question about the price of durians being cheaper during peak seasons n more expansive during non peak like now. Argh! I've gotta struggle wif my computing now n after monday my Physics. Argh! Really dunno wat to expect. Haiz. Ok la. Will Jia you. Hope to be back in hall soon. For now, i shall mug till the bus cones. Too bad we din take pictures at todays outing. Haiz..

战备学生

being a 战备学生 is not easy.

you need ur supplies.

the nights burnt.
the planning of when to sleep and the discipline to wake up.
the hot baths u need to take to keep yourself awake.
the times when u juz can't go home coz u noe at home u will onli sleep (mayb onli me).
the events u will miss seeing special people.
the food u will miss(coz the canteen nearest u is the onli place u will go).
the news that u will never noe coz u r lazy to read newspaper / no time to watch tv.
the unhealthy lifestyle u will lead (coz i feed literally on junk food to keep me going.)
the amount of caffeine that might kill(altho after drinking coffee i'll still sleep).
the radioactive waves going thru the brain(coz music keeps me going..)
the endless battle with z-monster.
and many many many more.

aniwaez.. this is my bag of "energy".. haha.. seaweed.. chips.. pi pa mi.. greentea.. my fridge full of chocolate, cold water, soya milk, fresh milk.. motivations!

内阁资政 VS 国务资政

well. when Dasmond asked the question: 谁是新加坡的内阁资政? on Hey! Gorgeous last monday (semi finals 1), i remembered that I shouted 吴作栋! U can ask Anderson! I am very sure! But I was bombasted, as the correct answer is李光耀! Oh my god!

If I was a "celebrity" or a public figure, I guess I would been condemned just as well.

Look at how Lloyd Soon was shot. Even other contestants who answered Australia's capital as Sydney (its Canberra juz in case u dun noe) and Mother's Day as 1st May (its the second sunday of May, btw..) I mean, it was pressure n stressful to answer a question in 5 sec on TV in singlet (or were they bare bodies? dun remember)..

Firstly, I have to admit even a person like me who is equally cheena and speaks mainly Mandarin and listens to news on Channel U and Channel 8, I am not very sure of the terminology. Because I definitely don't remember that they changed the name of an appointment.. Talk about Chinese / Mandarin being juxtapose / confusing.. watever.

I remembered clearly that back then when I was still in JC (when LKY was SM and GCT was PM), SM is called 内阁资政! I won't have remembered that when LKY went on to being MM, the rise in pose in "English" was not translated into "Chinese" but carried along. And "SM" was given a new definition in Chinese/Mandarin, being 国务资政.

HUH???????

Yes, I know this is BIG NEWS in Singapore. Blame it on my ignorance. Or my inability to differentiate. Or blame it on my poor Chinese language. Or my insensitivity to changes around me. or my poor General knowledge.

But I must admit it really is UNFAIR to attack Lloyd based on this.

Its over. I shall not dig my head and bury myself in regret.

HE191 Principles of Economics at 5pm later. I really hope I am well prepared and can do well later.

The exam hall gets colder by the minute. For 2.5 hour in my life i was thinking purely of the questions and how to attempt it. That didn't even happen during A levels. I thought it was long, but it seems not long enough. Stepping out of the hall, I thought I was the only one who tot it was tough, seems there are many alike. Now i understand why the GPA system is like tt.. Because at university level, there is no clear distinction of the marks and grade range. It juz a competition to see whos better and who is the one anchoring the bottom. I know i did badly, but the vicious me juz hopes many others do worse than me.. Lolx..

I shall go and study econs..

Juz a short post on wat happened over the weekend..

well, I am sick! i truly think the air in my house is not very good.. every weekend go home sure get runny nose.. muz be too dusty le.. argh! haa--choo!

next, well, Vincent Yeo is SP's representative for Hey Gorgeous! Yupz.. And he appeared alongside the 19 other representatives at Causeway Point amidst a rowdy crowd today.. He's got alotsa supporters and sincerely hope he will win (altho I find NTU's llyod sun yong jin cuter n more muscular...)! Will ting u all the way, Vinc!

*remember to catch Vincent (and Lloyd) in Hey Gorgeous semi-finals 1 (Sentosa round) tonight (5/11, 8pm, channel U!)

And also, my heartiest congratulations to Andie Chen Bang Jun(S4) who won Star Search 2007. Well, I did not really follow, and the only contestant i know was Desmond(S6) from friday weekly last time, but i was surprised at the showcase today by the top 6. they were all very good. I expected Desmond to be out tho, and did not really think Yah Hwee (S5) to be eliminated..

Actually, I tot Andie would get most popular and Yeo Wee Lie(S1) will win.. never expect it to be the opposite, but still not bad la.. i'm happy that the crop was a good one.. Really surprised by Celia(S2) getting into top 3 tho'.. Her reviews were not good all the way, mayb its being moderate thru out tt gets u somewhere.. And the hunky and gorgeous Jackson Tan Sia Zhong(S3) also not in running for top 3? Weird.. Tot he "can make it there" de.. Whatever the case, good fight and deserving winners.. A nice and grand finale to the most controversial show with so many gossips and negative news.. (may it be the last we see of a certain Man...)
