the things that has happened in the past few days is driving me into the walls
i'm going crazy soon.
i can't handle my relations, emotions, tensions..

what are friends for?
especially those who say they are your friends.
they claim they are the ones who will be there for you.
but i know better.

i need support.

i keep thinking back
and loads and loads of what if-s comes out

i am what i choose to be
so what if i love out of the norm
so what if i did not score as well
what if i did try hard
what does it mean to work hard?
am i fitted for higher education?
what jobs will i be suited for when i do enter the society?
why did i choose engineering, at all?
if at that time i took the civil engineering option in 2006, would I still
be struggling now?
do i even know what I'm studying and aiming for?

well..
i actually don't really have an answer to that.
i am overly ambitious
yet under prepared

i think too much?
i think that I don't think
enough

:: date with hydrosapiens ::

Since we witnessed the opening event of the 2008 Arts Festival,
We reckoned that it was only proper closure to attend the closing event too.
Especially when it was to be held at Bedok Reservoir.
After an uncomfortable experience jostling for space with the
Maddening crowd at Boat Quay a month ago
We were better prepared this time.

Too prepared.

So arrived we did, with bento boxes and their yakitori acessories.
And then there was some dimsum, and then, some more.
We brought along a bottle of vodka, some cranberry and orange juice.
There was time to kill.

We were almost two hours ahead.

The evening picnic turned out to be half the total fun.
The water-theme show, well, had a watery start and ended up in flames.

Literally.

We were amused by the Water Bottle Giant Man.
A lot.
While it was totally not integral to the almost-linear plot
We suspect PUB has a hand in this recycling project.

Ahem.

:: my hatred and love ::

i know i strongly voiced out
that i hate the new canteen A
and i miss canteen B
and the lack of opportunity to go there since the new can a's opening..

and thank god
i'll face canteen b much more regularly now..
erm.. is it a blessing or a curse?

only time will tell..

i fell in love for a reason
my dearie's so damn nice for a reason
i move in with him for a reason
all but reasons you don't need to know..

i fucked up my grades for a reason
i screwed up whole whole year 1 for a reason
now..
i'm streamed to god-knows-where for a reason..
these are reasonsa that i would like to know
but i currently have no idea...
please.. give me some light..
before i start tinking of some dumb reasons..
and having completely wrong ideas on god's enlightening path
for the start of my adult life..
oh..
this sucks.. really!

:: who will be this year's Superband? ::

Yup.. Haha.. Now i'm in mediacorp tv theatre awaiting the first preliminary round of the second season of Superband. Well.. I dun know how they will sound like.. Hopefully good.. Better keep my expectations Low first.. Lol.. 1 hr 15 mins to the show proper. Waiting.. Btw.. I'm currently surrounded by fans and supporters of some of the groups.. Hmm.. I guess they are just friends ba.. Or some people paid then to be here..

Too late to Blog and post all my pretty photos now. Just show one of the four items i bought earlier on.. Hmm.. Nice white shades? Hehe.. More coming up in next few days on the event. Thanks Yik for accompanying me!

Super kawaii crayon shin chan (la bi Xiao Xing) chocolate cookie.. Saw it at daiso.. Wanted to buy.. But it was very very light. Eh.. Everything $2? I think I'll buy something else:)

:: the olympic dream ::

The panda imprinted pancake i found by chance at meidi-ya at Liang court was really cute. Costing $2 each for a red bean or chocolate flavoured one. A pretty considerable size and comes in a nice little wrapper bag. But.... Look: 4 stars taste: 1 star it was hard, mayb left too long on shelf, and the chocolate feeling was miserable. Nice to look at, not nice to eat. But i feel cruel actually to eat a panda. Hmm.. But my friend said it tasted better than the breadtalk earth quake charity fund bread one.. Well...

:: good food . Ah balling ::

Found this really good ah balling stall by chance with Dearie at the newly renovated Smith Street market at chinatown. Its a little costly (at $2.50 a bowl of 5 mixed ah balling), the glutainous rice balls with fillings of peanut, black sesame, red bean, yam paste or even durian paste, taste heavenly. It isn't sticky to the teeth, yet provides a good marshy bite, chewy n delicious! Really worth a try. Its at the green zone.. Go find it and try it. (A bowl of all 5 durian paste ones cost a bit more, at $3 a bowl, but darn worth it for durians fans.)

:: (not so) secret project ::

been quite busy this holidays
as i've always said
but much more now due to the start in negotiations with some people
about the kicking off of a really fun and interesting project
which might spell out my life
in the very near future

i've always been interested in fashion and media
no matter how bad i may look
or how bad my standard of English may be
but now i'm on my way
slowly moving into being a more multi-dimensional
media person
freelancing for a start in some factors of media
and moving towards a common goal

i've got friends from different groups working together
army friend, social friend, jc friend..
and i seem to hold different projects..
but soon.. they will all come together
as i've just learned from someone
that i can put myself out and up
as a "standalone company"
providing several opportunities out to people and companies
who are keen in employing me

my idea is not the money earned
the main motive being to learn
the different ropes i can cling to
and one fine day built a repute for myself
to be an individual

so soon
i'll turn into a pro blogger
letting it be one of my media of expression
and linking my world to the public
in a more dignified manner

and looking forward to some of my more confirm freelancing jobs
like writing columns for some renown magazines
(not appropriate to mention now, since the eggs ain't properly hatched yet)
and also in the pipeline
there are several events (of a small scale)
that me and my friend (team) is currently working on

dreams are not as far fetched..

still looking forward to my big dream
of putting out a magazine (no matter the scale)
to bring mens' fashion out to the public..

i was on a bus on my way home last night
when it got really crowded
and people kept pushing.

i was standing with dearie when this group of ah tiongs came on board
that spelled the start of a horrifying bus ride.

i was standing in the encavement at the middle of the bus
(the part where there's no seats)
then this group of ah tiongs came onboard.
one of them, who acts like she's very young (come on, your wrinkles...)
pushed her way into the encavement although it was quite full liao
and she dared to talk do loud to tell her friends to get them to make way nearer to this encavement where she was standing..
"shuo, excuse me, i NEED to go in"
excuse me, bitch, it is so fucking crowded, can't you see???

ah tiongs are ah tiongs..

i gave a look to dearie.
he whispered to me to say maybe they are friends and want to talk together..
yeah right..
the way they talk
so so so loud
i can still hear their conversation crystal clear even with my ipod blasting madonna's songs at full volume la!

not enough..
later during the ride
she kept squeezing me and pushing me inner towards the window
and even if i had my hands on the railing
she kept pushing and leaning against the railing
come on,
ah tiongs
ur body cannot feel one huh?
not uncomfortable meh??
i would feel embarrased or the least a little discomfort lor
and she kept pushing
though i kept relentlessly refuse to give way
until when i got down the bus
i purposefully push against that fucker ah tiong and said loudly
"auntie, jie guo, ren shou shou ba zhan na me duo wei gan ma.
shuo hua you na me da sheng, pa ba shi si ji mei tiong dao ah."

that was my boldest revenge at ah tiongs ever..
i've had enough
Singaporeans
we need to protest against ah tiongs..
lets go on the streets!
(then again, we should be more civil and not act barbaric like them..
maybe i should just send this post to straits times, lianhe zaobao, today, parliament..
............. complaint works eh??)

ah tiongs are taking over the nation..
this newest ah tiong is good at blogging and
wins at blogging compared to his fellow competitors who are local..
and this ah tiong has talent..
this ah tiong has a special name no locals would think of..
this ah tiong is more eloquent than Singaporeans..
this ah tiong is handsome..
this ah tiong has a large local fanbase
and they vote for him.. (coz his family can't vote from China..
maybe all the local ah tiongs are voting for him, tt's why..)
this ah tiong has got the vote of our Ah Jie..
and this ah tiong has taken over our local TV to be
Channel U's new face of the year..

i know its demeaning to call him an ah tiong..
but from now on, probably he has won back the people's respect..
