:: 好囧哦！ ::

日前有幸被选中参与一部全新青少年谈话性节目《你在囧什么》，是U频道12月底将开播的一部非常有趣，又有意义的一个畅谈性节目，每集邀请了20+名中学、理工学院、初级学院、工艺教育学院和大学的同学，连同几位专家、艺人和辅导员，谈有关青少年问题。从父母管教、金钱理财、追星、追梦、打扮、爱情到女性非礼问题和国籍之间的“战役”，一群陌生的同学们，在短短的一个星期的录影时间内，天天一同诉苦、分享、畅所欲言，相信将带给大家许多欢乐和感叹。

大家都认为新加坡的同学们不爱说话，不会说话，有什么都闷在心底。这次的体验，的确让我获益量多，打开了我的眼界，见识到许多不同的人、事、物，发现到很多青少年不为人知的一面。最重要的是，真的难得学习到了很多，在畅谈之间和同学们互相切磋，也和专业人士们互相学习，很开心。

当然，对我的学业也有所帮助。第一次在录影棚连续录几个小时，很不容易。我看到了幕后的很多点点滴滴，也明白了电视制作的苦。同时，也明白学业所学习到的东西以外，制作节目的团队如此庞大，剪辑师真正的功劳，各个幕后人员的辛苦，摄影棚内得注意的事项，导播的忙碌，等等等。。。希望往后日子，若有幸参与该制作公司实习，应该可以学习到更多。

但这次最大的收获还是认识了一群好玩，敢说的同学们。大家都和蔼可亲，无话不说，真诚最重要。大家虽然往后可能很难会在碰面，但真的，认识这些人是我的福气，也在此教会我，社会上各种人都有，要谦虚的学习，要接触更多不同的人，大家都有才华，大家都有长处，等待你发觉，学习。

很期待12月29日，晚上9点，U频道《你在囧什么？！》。由李腾和林佩芬主持。整个节目为期13集，探讨13个精彩的主题。同学们要了解，认同，他人们要看来学习并渗入青年的世界！记得大家都要收看哦。绝对精彩。。
（PS。 我在节目中的小名是DOMO，但很容易认的啦，最胖的那位咯。呵呵）
（pps。我将不会出现在第一集和最后一集，因为有事无法参与录影。其他的，都应该至少会路面:) ）

is that of Heath Ledger (aka Mr Brokeback)
and his great performance of Joker in the batman movie
The Dark Knight
although i haven't watched it yet
but i am waiting with much anticipation
knowing that it will be a good show..

(unfortunately he isn't around anymore to listen to these rave reviews
and see the nods to commend on his performance.)

:: The Perfect Cut . Episode 2 review ::

in the second episode of this 13 parter
it took a look at something i quite interested in doing.. and in fact, did a little.. haha
LIPOSUCTION..

yes.. i did it for my chin area so as to not aggravate my double chin
now i'm trying hard for it not to return.. lol

as for the show today
we saw zheng wanling in a very loud character as Emily Tan.
she consulted Kelly for view on how to look better.
although Kelly advised her to look to Sky for gym trainings
she turned to dr lollipop instead (its Dr Bobby Low, played by Dick Su)
after two failed consultations
she went home disheartened
only to get reprimanded by her younger brother Alex
who dislikes her loud character (in this case, it leaves her single partially due to her being loud AND an holding a "scary" job of being a mortician.)
Alex brought up the different negative side effects and possible after effects of liposuction.

personally
i am suffering from a slight after effect of liposuction currently
my lower chin, towards the left,
constantly feels numb, and when pressed against,
has a painful sensation.

yup..

but if i got the money,
well
i would still consider to go for liposuction..
I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT..
someone please save me
any personal trainers reading my blog willing to help me for free? haha..

(oh ya, if Julian Hee can be my personal trainer, i promise to lose all my weight within a month.. but then again, i might wana take longer so i can see him more often.. swoons..)

:: The Perfect Cut . Episode 1 review ::

being a fan of Julian Hee AND Thomas Ong
I am more than glad to be able to a (hopefully) periodic episode review

In the debut episode of the brand new channel U's show Perfect Cut
we see a trio of people who can definitely make you look good
we have local top aesthetician Alex Tan (played by Thomas Ong)
friend and listener, clinical psychiatrist Kelly Lim (Michelle Chia)
and hunky, cute, ever fabulous darling of mine,
Julian Hee (as Sky Tan, the buffed up personal trainer).

they come into contact with a problem couple who is psychotically unstable
Yoyo (constance song) is a married woman who is emotionally affected by her husband sam (bernard tan) who doesn't seem to be interested in her, thus she begins to let her imagination run wild, thinking that sam likes women with large breasts.
she gives up the long term psychological consultations, and looks for Alex instead for a brest enhancement surgery.

however, sam is actually more interested in Julian Hee.

as the story unfolds, we see the complication between the five of them.

the show reaches a climax when my darling Sky announced to Sam that he is not gay
(yah, like i believe..). then sam's job is disconnected.. while Yoyo rushes to do yet another surgery.

and then, someone called Alex to tell him someone is dead..

on all, i seriously think the drama is really intense. it was on the whole a tight show, and really reflected the society's veiwpoints on the topic in a positive light.
the surgery scenes was quite gross, especially since i was having my dinner. eeeww...

the actors acting were above average. i must give credit to Julian Hee for giving the
Beach.Ball.Babes (channel 8's 9pm drama)
girls a run for their money.
he revealed his tanned and toned body in many scenes, and looks FANTASTIC.
its a real pity tha this might be his very last show with the station..
(i sincerely hope they will have a vcd or dvd collection of the show,
for me to swoon over him.. lol)
credits also go to Constance Song for yet another courageous performance.

in my opinion: heart is more important. breast size doesn't really matter. viewing for pleasure.
but i believe that if i were to date Fiona Xie, i would feel very insecure..
(and yes, Yoyo, Sam likes people with big chests, but must be muscular.. haha.. Julian has quite formidable chest siah..)

内阁资政 VS 国务资政

well. when Dasmond asked the question: 谁是新加坡的内阁资政? on Hey! Gorgeous last monday (semi finals 1), i remembered that I shouted 吴作栋! U can ask Anderson! I am very sure! But I was bombasted, as the correct answer is李光耀! Oh my god!

If I was a "celebrity" or a public figure, I guess I would been condemned just as well.

Look at how Lloyd Soon was shot. Even other contestants who answered Australia's capital as Sydney (its Canberra juz in case u dun noe) and Mother's Day as 1st May (its the second sunday of May, btw..) I mean, it was pressure n stressful to answer a question in 5 sec on TV in singlet (or were they bare bodies? dun remember)..

Firstly, I have to admit even a person like me who is equally cheena and speaks mainly Mandarin and listens to news on Channel U and Channel 8, I am not very sure of the terminology. Because I definitely don't remember that they changed the name of an appointment.. Talk about Chinese / Mandarin being juxtapose / confusing.. watever.

I remembered clearly that back then when I was still in JC (when LKY was SM and GCT was PM), SM is called 内阁资政! I won't have remembered that when LKY went on to being MM, the rise in pose in "English" was not translated into "Chinese" but carried along. And "SM" was given a new definition in Chinese/Mandarin, being 国务资政.

HUH???????

Yes, I know this is BIG NEWS in Singapore. Blame it on my ignorance. Or my inability to differentiate. Or blame it on my poor Chinese language. Or my insensitivity to changes around me. or my poor General knowledge.

But I must admit it really is UNFAIR to attack Lloyd based on this.

The stage was set at Dragonfly at st james yesterday... 10 guys and 10 gals from the different school were there to make their school proud. It was their chance to shine, to be crowned Mr Hey Gorgeous.

after an intense round of beach wear, then the "kou cai" round, we have the new campus stars.. Mr Lloyd Soon frm NTU MAE and Ms Peggy Chang frm NTU CEE!

Now who say NTU people dun look good.. We are both the best looking gal AND guy!

Stars from TV!

Juz a short post on wat happened over the weekend..

well, I am sick! i truly think the air in my house is not very good.. every weekend go home sure get runny nose.. muz be too dusty le.. argh! haa--choo!

next, well, Vincent Yeo is SP's representative for Hey Gorgeous! Yupz.. And he appeared alongside the 19 other representatives at Causeway Point amidst a rowdy crowd today.. He's got alotsa supporters and sincerely hope he will win (altho I find NTU's llyod sun yong jin cuter n more muscular...)! Will ting u all the way, Vinc!

*remember to catch Vincent (and Lloyd) in Hey Gorgeous semi-finals 1 (Sentosa round) tonight (5/11, 8pm, channel U!)

And also, my heartiest congratulations to Andie Chen Bang Jun(S4) who won Star Search 2007. Well, I did not really follow, and the only contestant i know was Desmond(S6) from friday weekly last time, but i was surprised at the showcase today by the top 6. they were all very good. I expected Desmond to be out tho, and did not really think Yah Hwee (S5) to be eliminated..

Actually, I tot Andie would get most popular and Yeo Wee Lie(S1) will win.. never expect it to be the opposite, but still not bad la.. i'm happy that the crop was a good one.. Really surprised by Celia(S2) getting into top 3 tho'.. Her reviews were not good all the way, mayb its being moderate thru out tt gets u somewhere.. And the hunky and gorgeous Jackson Tan Sia Zhong(S3) also not in running for top 3? Weird.. Tot he "can make it there" de.. Whatever the case, good fight and deserving winners.. A nice and grand finale to the most controversial show with so many gossips and negative news.. (may it be the last we see of a certain Man...)

Campus Yummy Hunts in NTU! (part 2)

unfortunately, I was unable to be part of campus yummy hunt at NTU's first filming.. but nonetheless, I was part of the filming today with Felicia Chin and Dasmond Koh for the new Channel U foodie show.

well, the day started at 11am, with me visiting Canteen 14 for the first time in my NTU life.

I was part of some 28 food tasters, including students and outsiders..

from there, we tasted can 14's Mixed Grill, which I thought was overly meaty, although some parts were good but the others was so so... (I hate beef n lamb!!)

canteen 13 was recommended for its Korean food. I was surprised to know tt all the crew frm the stall were korean. i personally thought the food was satisfactory, and kimchi was great. we tried the bibimbab and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste.. It was much blander than the c-jade one i tried last time, but i'll give it a passing grade.

the third station was canteen A. Jap food was on the menu, and by then, most of the tasters were already pretty full! We had curry chicken katsu don, which was one of my favourite dish originally. However, today, the miso soup was too salty!(tink zhang ziyi in the visa adv). The rest complaints abt tt..

I made my final choice and decided tt the Jap food was my favourite, based on history n not on the food today.. who eventually won? I can't tell u..
