WOW! 2010 has been a whirl! and it has been quite good. learnt a lot. about myself. about the people around me. about the world. about life.

In a capsule:

*Loved. Happy. Blessed. Loved.

*Improved a lot in terms of studies. Faced wake up call. Will strive harder.

*Back injury. Slipped disc made quite a bit take a back seat. Hope to improve in the new year. Go back to sports.

*Gained weight. A lot. Linked to the above. Haiz~

*Had quite some bit of exposure on TV. Will continue in the early weeks of 2011. Catch me on Wednesdays on Let's Talk!

*Made more friends. Opened up. Know more people. More willing to talk.

*Wasted a lot of money. In crisis. Hope to resolve financial problems soon.

Since i'm on this, i shall just make my 2011 new year resolution!

1) Work really hard on studies, push GPA above 3.6

2) Be more financial knowledgeable. Spend wisely. Part with luxury and be less materialistic.

3) Treasure people around me. Love people more. Stop being the lonely one. Talk!

4) Be caution of style. Look good. Carve out an identity of myself.

5) Get healthy. Go back to running and dragonboating. Those pacs, aim high!

6) Eat little. Real little. (tie up with 5)

7) Set a goal, and keep to it. Stop being lazy. And keep my promises. Complete all tasks, well and fast!

8) Get that license! Must!

9) Save up save up save up! (tie up with 2)

10) Start a life. Really. Stop acting like a young kid. Feel young. But be mature. And be a complete wholesome person that people will look up, respect, and maybe, idolise. Live my dream!

All might be simple. But all I need is to set the goals, and go for them.

Have a great close to 2010, look forward, and splash into the great new year!

Really excited to have been able to be part of Channel U's new original movie media conference and exclusive screening, rubbing shoulders with the leads Joanne Peh and my idol Julian Hee!

《等一等爱情》是U频道2010年原创电影系列的第一部，

诉说林克勤（许立桦饰）和祖儿（白薇秀饰）

两人错综复杂，为期10年的故事。

在媒体发布会上，两人分享了拍戏的过程和自己在剧中的角色。

电影在11天内拍成。这段时间，演员们过的无日无夜，

但过程非常开心。Joanne透露，由于和Julian的默契十足，拍摄时非常愉快。

每一天虽然都拍到很晚，但隔天仍开心的到片场报道，就因为合作愉快。

Joanne在接这部戏时，刚好之前拍完了《仁心侠侣》。
在拍摄期间由于需要赶拍，因此在几天的煎熬，一度严重病倒。

Julian 和 Joanne 都认同，电影里的角色非常现实，

所发生的事情可能发生在任何人身上。

在预告片中，也看到了Julian和Joanne有着亲密的镜头。

他们两人都说拍得不容易，但都感到高兴，

难得能互相与帅哥美女有那么近距离得接触。

导演韩耀光，也是片子得监制、故事人，加上主题曲得作词人。

韩导和演员们合作也非常愉快。

年轻又帅气的导演风格独特，

在会上每当被问道如何介绍电影，

他就会说：“很好看！一定要看！”

韩导更说道，若Julian拒演，他自己多么希望能亲生上演。

Julian则说，导演欺负自己，还说这部电影

片名应该叫《跑吧男人》

日前有幸被选中参与一部全新青少年谈话性节目《你在囧什么》，是U频道12月底将开播的一部非常有趣，又有意义的一个畅谈性节目，每集邀请了20+名中学、理工学院、初级学院、工艺教育学院和大学的同学，连同几位专家、艺人和辅导员，谈有关青少年问题。从父母管教、金钱理财、追星、追梦、打扮、爱情到女性非礼问题和国籍之间的“战役”，一群陌生的同学们，在短短的一个星期的录影时间内，天天一同诉苦、分享、畅所欲言，相信将带给大家许多欢乐和感叹。

大家都认为新加坡的同学们不爱说话，不会说话，有什么都闷在心底。这次的体验，的确让我获益量多，打开了我的眼界，见识到许多不同的人、事、物，发现到很多青少年不为人知的一面。最重要的是，真的难得学习到了很多，在畅谈之间和同学们互相切磋，也和专业人士们互相学习，很开心。

当然，对我的学业也有所帮助。第一次在录影棚连续录几个小时，很不容易。我看到了幕后的很多点点滴滴，也明白了电视制作的苦。同时，也明白学业所学习到的东西以外，制作节目的团队如此庞大，剪辑师真正的功劳，各个幕后人员的辛苦，摄影棚内得注意的事项，导播的忙碌，等等等。。。希望往后日子，若有幸参与该制作公司实习，应该可以学习到更多。

但这次最大的收获还是认识了一群好玩，敢说的同学们。大家都和蔼可亲，无话不说，真诚最重要。大家虽然往后可能很难会在碰面，但真的，认识这些人是我的福气，也在此教会我，社会上各种人都有，要谦虚的学习，要接触更多不同的人，大家都有才华，大家都有长处，等待你发觉，学习。

很期待12月29日，晚上9点，U频道《你在囧什么？！》。由李腾和林佩芬主持。整个节目为期13集，探讨13个精彩的主题。同学们要了解，认同，他人们要看来学习并渗入青年的世界！记得大家都要收看哦。绝对精彩。。
（PS。我在节目中的小名是DOMO，但很容易认的啦，最胖的那位咯。呵呵）
（pps。我将不会出现在第一集和最后一集，因为有事无法参与录影。其他的，都应该至少会路面:) ）

on a 3 days 2 night trip
enjoying
just pleasure
massages, facial, shopping, spa, sleeping, eating

we are just wanting to be in a world of our own

not bothered touring spots that are for tourists
maybe just a trip of taipei 101
and not bothered about sharing with everyone how happy we are
not bothered with taking too many photos
and not bothered with memorabilias
and goodies to bring back

those, like wat M says
are for tourists
we are just two people who want a break
we are here to enjoy
and thats what we are doing

the trip is short
but that is what we can afford
in terms of time, for now

why go on leaving so much trails and memories
i like to hear him explain and tell me..

试想想，为什么要对某种事物与事项如此执着呢？
你弄得自己有那么多的埋怨、那么不快乐，又何苦呢？

saw some people insisting that their creativity are being restricted by others
and that if others have a say in their work
it is no longer their work

think of it
in a workplace
someone gives you some autonomy to create a piece
then after that, they give critical comments and hope that you change..
you will have to make amendments right?
you can't insist that your creativity has been forsaken
and that the amended work is totally not my idea
forgoing the fact that the main creation was pretty much yours, eh?

in life
we should really take a step back
if you really have great ideas and are really perfect
then you will have the right to ask the other to shut up

but creativity and art is intrinsic
the value of it varies from person to person
and what you think is perfect might not actually be

look at it this way
if you are an artist and have created a masterpiece
and people say its good, then good, sell it or keep it
for all it values

but if people say they dun like it
ok, accept the fact that some people dun like your work
there might be people who appreciate it
there might be people who dun
you can't force it upon others, eh?

school assignments n results varies
and especially in humanities n arts
there is no perfection
some people might like your creation
theres a set of rules
seeing from some technical viewpoints
thats why your scored in that technicality

dun assume that you are fabulous every time once you get A once
i have come to accept the fact..

didn't manage to get into the Top 20
but i was confident of myself
i though i did pretty well
so maybe the competition was strong

2 of my coursemates made it thru though..

i really love DJ-ing

to say that i'm not disappointed will be false

was hearing radio earlier on

when i came across this song by rene liu

from her new album,

a mandarin translation of Angela Aki's song tegami

called continue-to my 15 year old self (继续-给15岁的自己）

i wrote about Angela's song back a year ago..

and i happen to read several posts from May 2009

and thinking of it

i havent changed, not a bit

the surroundings and people might have changed

but somehow or rather

my feelings and thoughts havent

more about tt later

back to the song..

when i heard the mandarin version by rene on radio

i just hummed along to it

it was familiar

and i almost cud sing the japanese one

although it was back then 1 year ago

and my japanese have very much deproved since

hearing the mandarin song

i cud feel something

though not as strong

i wrote tweets about my feeling then

about how lost i felt in the mandarin version

seeking a feeling with the tune but not running along with the lyrics

the sense of being touched by something close to heart

unfortunately doesn't come with the mandarin tune

and i had to search out my older NEC lappie where the song was in it's itunes

(haven't got the time to transfer.. or just plain lazy)

a whole year

and when i heared the bridge

i felt the urge

love? kinship? friends? intropecction? me?

not sure

but i feel a surge of blood flowing to my head

a sense of warmth

believing that i can do it all?

i've let myself down and some people around me

i've not necessarily kept my promises

but just as well

the world hasn't been all that kind to me either

i've gone thru uneasy times in the past year

i need space

Am having my Monster Ball bday party this coming sat
and splurging alot again..
bad bad..

i should have constantly reminded and spanked myself at the thoughts
of having birthday parties
after all the hassle that i've been through in the past 3 years
i once vowed that three was enough
and a trilogy shall be kept to a good threesome

i broke the law

well
there was a purpose and big aim when i started planning for the Monster ball
this saturday
that was to "boost" sales of purewiz
i dunno how it will work out
but the turnout currently is much better than i expected
initially i din even think of inviting many of the ppl now on my "coming" list
but well
its.. ok! they are all good friends/cousins of mine
so its good to share the joy with them
who knows i may be in china already during my next birthday!

so the monsterball has been planned
and although there seems to be a very obvious theme
there is none
haha

i've decided what to wear and its gonna be a nice simple set of attire
and i believe it will be a blast
but the things i'm preparing and the things i've prepared has been.. argh..

and nearing to the day
i get the tension i once had 2 years ago and 3 years ago
its a one man show currently
and its tiring
and thinking of the food, the drinks, the food, the drinks and
how i can make each of my guest happy
i am disappointed with myself

its a long drawn procedure and i blame myself totally for thinking too much each time
being too creative and having different ideas and thoughts just ain't good
especially when you have to execute it all by yourself

i feel now that the date is close but i've not done anything
oh no!

and another note
i should have just gotten a restaurant
(which i got many ideas and many quotes)
but due to me wanting to save money
decided to bring it on to a chalet
kinda regret it now
could have been easier getting a crew of friends to a restaurant/cafe
and just enjoy everything being metted out for you
and you have fun for the three hours
like last year's Happy Party..

at least i dun need to worry about the cake
the drinks
the beer
the desserts
the many many many things
i've got in mind
people staying over or not
entertainment at night
transport
water and drinks and food to last through the night
and.....

i can't wait wait for it to be here
and we can have fun

and enjoy!

Monster Ball will be somethings same yet different
i dunno wat..
but it will be.. LOL!

(not forgetting the small group coming over for the big monster party the night before..

:: Liao Zhai Rocks and Singapore Mandarin Musicals... ::

I don't really like musicals
I think they are often overrated
and i dun understand what they are singing most of the time
chinese musicals were once (in my mind), worse
because its not easy to understand the lyrics,
especially the fast numbers
and somehow spoils the flow with the dancing and all

but being a sucker for local theatre and all
and after watching the successful If there are seasons (天冷就回来）last year
I felt i just had to support TTP's musical extravaganza Liao Zhai rocks this year round

so i caught the show on thursday
and i must say
i still do not like musicals, not in mandarin at least

not tt i'm jealous tt i'm still not getting my break in theatre
(i've somehow given tt up some time ago)
and also nt because its not good
i must say its fantastic
wonderful cast, set, lighting, plot, storyline...

then again,
there's the factor of chinese seems too cheem to be enjoyed like that
you get carried away by the nice music
and you can't get the lyrics because of the different octaves and music..
argh..
you don't enjoy theatre like it should be
the musical element somehow overpowers the acting and theatrics
and with the strong use of superb lyrics on stage in a new setting
not all audience can hear properly
and with the blasting mic
the sounds are distorted
and the words don't come across just like it should be/intended to be

well..

these are just my opinions..
there are lots of improvements spaces
i wish
one day, that I can still be part/create my own theatre group/company
and create outstanding performance
with rich theatrical elements and artistic aspects
and which are also accessible to the general audience looking
for an entertainment..

well well...

nevertheless, kudos to the great performance by the Liao Zhai Rocks team
it all went very well
i just left feeling a little tad lacking of something
that is probably it..
that missing element! that.. erm.. connection? not sure..

I was at the cliff, almost about to fall off.
I was at the brim, almost spilling out.
I feel congested. Emotionally. Psychologically.
I had no one to turn to.
Then comes the realisation. That I have always been putting on a strong front.
Always showing and thinking that I've so many friends around me.
But who can I turn to when I need to talk?
None.
I don't have anyone whom I can trust. or is close enough for me
to call upon in the middle of the night.
because that is just not what I'm accustomed to.
As weird as it sounds. I'm a loner.
I feel empty. Lonely. Solo.

1. Relationships are confusing. I don't know what I want or maybe who I am. My love life doesn't blend with my life. What does that makes me? I don't seem to know then.

2. My results sucks. Does that mean i'm not cut out for this line? Where am I headed towards? Blank.

3. Sleeping throughout the holidays. Its been more than a month. No aim. No target.

4. Broke up and together. Sex and fucks. All going nowhere, again. Where the sunrises and where it sets. I have no idea. Lost? No, just zero. Non-directional.

5. Having a million ideas, but not practically making any of them work. I'm a waste. Because I don't have the kick to get me going.

6. Who are my friends? Invites out there to over a hundred people. Response is near null. Right. What are friends for? Or, do I have? Who takes me as one? Back to this topic again. Bad.. Next..

7. Motivation gets things going? I think money do. I need a new goal in life which I can see a finishing life. Not now, apparently.

8. What's my aim in doing so much? When my target seems to be so insanely different from where I am headed towards? Why am I preparing so much when it all boils down to being nothing?

9. I find no consolation in being myself.

10. Given up. Just say you love me and fuck me and leave. That is probably what makes me happy. At least for the split second. A moment felt of someone there. Hugging you. The warmth. Comfort. Thanks.

1. exams are tomorrow. i feel... ill prepared.. oh my!

2. the past week, i've met people who are all too serious about life, it scares me. or maybe its just my live and let live attitude that makes me worried.. not too sure if i'm worried about myself or for others..

3. i realised that results are of utmost importance to me. but more often than not, i give up halfway. its bad, i know, but its like a nature to me. wrong wrong mentality that i must change.

4. new year was okay. nothing special. like what gregagoogoo says, quarter-life crisis. how to get out of this rat race and impossible life woth a million thoughts but with none fulfilled? what do i really want? lost...

5. switching tracks are what i keep thinking of. at this age, how many more times can i do that? can't keep rellying on my mum already..

6. as i write this post, my heart really feels hard and thumping. tsk tsk. emotional. so emotional that i could cry. gotta work hard!

7. just went to bai taisui earlier in the afternoon. first time i went. eye opening experience. i'm not a religious person, but since "tigers" crash with a certain god almost every other year, and my life hasn't been exactly that smooth every now and then, maybe a little contribution and chants might help. for a smooth life and some peace and happiness...

8. been sick for the longest time. my nose is constantly producing mucus, at many times, it is thick and has a bad smell. i wonder what is wrong.

9. thoughts cram my head and i've been having terrible headaches the past few days. many many things to do.

10. i have the time. but i seem to be wasting. i have no goals to myself. needs a change of attitude, fast.

1. I'm madly into concerts.. or should I say, too many people are coming for concert.. no.. too many great singers are coming down for concert..

2. 17 April is the clash of the mandopop bands.. SHE vs MayDay... i prefer the latter.. so.. see all at Padang for a repeat of their runaway sold out successful concert from last year..

3. then there's news tt another runaway sold out successful concert last year will be back.. in less than 2 weeks.. yes.. Stefanie Sun is bringing in a "golden lunar new year edition" of her hit "The answer is..." world tour back to Singapore, and holding it at Resorts World Sentosa.. the first chinese singer to perform there, mind you... and oh, we sooooo miss stef!

4. why am i watching concerts that i've watched once? coz they are real good, i guess...

5. but i'm not splurging like i did on Amit's concert.. bleah.. $121 for each of these two is enough to make me broke..

6. then there's Jam Hsiao and Sammi Cheng.. one vocal powerhouse and his first concert, another being cantopop's brightest showgirl on Singapore stage after years of absence.. well well.. i think i should go watch.. maybe after new year and when i've spare cash after planning for the 24th bday party.. hehe!

7. time flies.. the sem is coming to an end, and i've not found the answer to many things.. contemplative of quitting and pursuing something i should.. like.. a.........

8. LNY is like.. next week, and altho i kinda feel the hype, i'm too busy piled up under my homework, i can't seem to be bothered. it doesn't help tt there's exams after the LNY break..

9. but have cleared some modules le.. translation n feature report writings done.. and will be done with webdesign n writ comm next.. hopefully radio prod will conclude this coming week too.. then its a good break before the exams..

10. don't know what to look forward to.. coz the tees are not ready, and i'm quite dead with fashionisiac.. oh no.. need to keep my passion alive and get something going..

1. I never make any resolutions if u realise. Coz i don't know how it works.

2. If resolutions are just a list of things i want to resolve and will work towards it, then maybe i shall start one.

3. Its not too late to start having New Year's resolutions's eh? Since its January and Lunar New Year isn't exactly here yet.

4. Oh, times flies. Guess what. This sem is (finally) (frightfully) coming to an end and tt means its assignments galore..

5. That brings me to my first resolution.. no matter what happens this semester, the next acad year i've got to wake up my idea. Pull up my GPA! 3.5... puleeez....

6. Diet.. always saying, never doing.. will start.. today!

7. Exercise and generate a lova and habit for it. Will start.. have to start..

8. Stop spending like theres no tomorrow.. set aside $XX each month into savings.. a little goes a long way.. i hope.

9. Love one person and stick to it, or don't love at all. You dun deserve love if you do not know how to love. (tt said, i'm kinda stuck in some kind of... hmm.. )

10. Be true to yourself and the people around you!

11. Start planning for a little piece of sky of your own. Get the fashion blog rolling.. sooooon!!!

13. PureWIZ is a project in long term planning. My biggest resolution, kick start this! and then...

1. Have been overusing this word. But its getting bad. Real bad migraine. Feel like dying soon.

2. Going through a lot. Too much work piling up but my headache is obstructing me.

3. I love to design, and looking for new ways to do things. :)

4. I don't like to take telephone calls. Stop calling stop calling i don't wanna talk anymore.

5. SMS is good. I will reply when i want to. I won't if i don't want to. Like i said, i won't take no calls.

6. I don't like to repeat myself. I say things once, then its done. Silence.

7. Got many big dreams to fulfill. Wonder when.

8. I'm domesticated. I love staying at home. Curbs me from spending.

9. Chinese New Year and Valentines' Day. Not sure what will happen. Things might change very much. Talking face to face with people you love makes sense. <3

10. Needs coffee. And a break. Ice cream makes me happy. Good coffee and nice simple good ice cream. :)

Had a meetup with 7 of my primary school friends.. Yes.. Just a small group meetup which was randomly organised because one girl returned after eons. Haha.. And I got quite excited before it. Can u imagine.. It's a good 11-12 years since we last met..

But as it closed in, the excitement kind of faded..

And when we were there.. I felt.. Out of place once again..

I think it's just me.. They were like friends.. Yet.. I felt so distanced.. I couldn't find a single topic in common. I keep feeling tt I'm different. Memories were dug out.. Things which happened, people who were in our class.. Long lost friends not contacted..

But I keep having the feeling tt they seem to keep in contact. Just not me. I dun remember who was my best friend back then. Or if I even had a clique.. At all.. All through my life..

I feel like I dun know who I really am. Is it just a persona I always put out and I've lost who I really am? Who are these friends?

It's nice. Really. But.. Something.. Dunno what.. But something.. I crave for a best friend at different stages. But maybe it's because of how high I portray myself that I have lost such friend.

It comes to the point when we are leaving and saying goodbyes when I think: what is the point if this meet up. When will we meet again?? What will happen till then? What will happen then? Someone asked: are we meeting up again? I don't know. Everyone has accompolished so much. They are all everywhere..

We are a so different now. There's a teacher, an air steward, undergrads going to grad, a lawyer, students in australia.. I feel....

When will we meet again? I'm skeptical...

近年来因主持台湾爆红综艺节目《百万大歌星》而找到事业第二春的哈林庾澄庆，为庆祝出道23周年而发行了青春摇滚情歌精选集《到死都要十八岁》。顶着酷爆的造型，在专辑封面上提着电吉他耍帅的哈林，想撒一点小谎，带听众回到青春，找回梦想，回归18岁时的那个天堂。

专辑封面造型酷似五月天阿信，哈林这次通过精选集提醒着大家他始终时是台湾嘻哈摇滚界的前辈，早在多年前就通过国民大合唱，如《快乐song》和《让你妈妈new一下》奠定了基础。

这张精选集阔气的收录了哈林23年来的历作，收录了多达45首精选曲，以及三首新歌。三张CD分别名为“哈青春”，“哈情歌”和“哈摇滚”。个别都收录了一首代表性新歌。

三首新歌中都是由哈林本人创作。“青春新歌”《第三个愿望》唱出情窦初开的少男少女之心声，列出小情人希望在一起能有的幸福。情歌新代表《无尽透明的思念》虽展示出哈林不可否认的好唱功，但和经典哈式情歌对比，少了那一分感动。同名摇滚主打《到死都要18岁》最充满惊喜，重摇滚的曲风唱出哈林渴望再次找寻18岁的精彩和那股摇滚的激情。已有一定年龄的哈林哥唱起这首个人创作带来另一般风味，带有一点沧桑，但绝对能和当今摇滚乐手拼一下。

As we enter a new decade is less than 2 hours, here I shall post my very last post at Marina Bay floating platform as I celebrate the arrival of 2010 n bid goodbye to a wonderful 2009 with thousands of fellow Singaporeans..

2009 has been for me, a year of challenges and new surprises..

1. I left NTU for a short leave.. (I'll be back! I hope..)

2. I started poly life a bit later than everyone my age, but still.. It's an experience.

3. I climbed up high at NTU vertical marathon.

4. I ran.. A lot!

5. iPhone!! Haha!

6. I spent a lot!! Not a good thing. Bad bad actually.. I'll try to save.

7. Love is a tricky thing. I got lost. Found. Lost? Not sure. But I felt something special. Went up n down a roller coaster ride. Wild! Not sure my current status. But I do hope to find my way back into love :)

8. Had the tied of my party series. Blast!!!

9. Made many many new friends. And out to do loadsa volunteer work.

10. Trip to Vietnam for YEP with the cool peeps from HMS. An experience I cannot forget!!

11. Party like no other. P, Jeremy, Ben n all u guts.. Rocks!!

12. Started my fashion blog!! Yay!! And.. Kicked off designing our own label.. Look out!

Looking forward to an awesome year ahead doing much much more. Really..

Things I hope to achieve in the new year..

1. Achieve better score.. Much better. And venture into businesses for design.

2. Be a notable fashion blogger. Up my fash sense.

3. Hope Fashionisiac will be successful n more ventures and opportunities..

i'm a struggling poor brat who dreams of a life drowned in luxury
the post christmas sale didn't work out
the clothes are either ugly or that i can't afford
what sales is that.. bleah..

mixing with friends who dresses to kill
or dress to kill me and my faint heart
adorned to the nines
with the most premium
and lovely looking haute couture
which, unfortunately,
i can't afford.. sad..

i decided i shall not match them
because it is almost impossible
with my current occupation (zero income student)
maybe, maybe in the future..
i shall not give the impression that i am rich
because i am not
i shall not waste money
i shall have more practical aims
like.. loosing weight

i shall start loosing weight
and make myself look good
n ot necessarily in branded stuffs
if i slim down.. like.. alot..

:: 东运会总结—新加坡健儿凯旋归来•女飞鱼成吸金女王 ::

第二十五届东南亚运动会在寮国完美落幕，新加坡团队（Team Singapore）凯旋归来，猛夺33面金牌，30面银牌和35面铜牌。团队也在运动会上刷新多个记录，尤其是游泳方面，就包下了6个接力赛中的5面金牌，全也都创下新赛会记录。

两年一度的东运会主要是让区域的运动健儿有机会发挥所长，也是国与国之间促进沟通的一道桥梁。今年，新加坡团队就派出了192名运动选手参与18个体育项目。

运动会一开场，新加坡国家水球队就夺得了金牌，也创造了记录，是团队的第23面东运会金牌，无敌的团队奠定了他们在东南亚水球界的地位。

这次，新加坡派出的团队人数与参选项目比往年少，主要的原因，是因为这是寮国第一次举办东运会，场地与资源有限，项目也因此比往年少。这也是新加坡派出平均年龄最年轻的团队，共有99名健儿在21岁以下。90名初次参赛的选手都得到了不错成绩，其中就夺得了23面奖牌。

乒乓选手赛场大风光

在所有运动项目中最亮眼的运动项目之一，就是我国的乒乓团队，勇夺12枚奖牌。乒乓团队逐渐强大，年复一年都取得不错成绩。女乒乓员更是抱回了会上所有的金牌，单打打、混合打全扫空。最受注目的就包括女单和混合打的总决赛，场上的双方都是新加坡团对成员。冯天微和高宁都在场上扬威。

新加坡运动百万大奖赏

新加坡为了鼓励与促进体育方面的发展，数年前推出了百万大奖赏计划，奖励在运动场上扬威的新加坡运动健将。奖金多寡依照运动会的权威性，和项目的选手人数。刷新国家或赛会记录的表现也赢得选手们一定的奖金。

这次东运会就创造出多名吸金的运动选手，其中两名女泳将就夺得非一般的成绩，各夺得4万元。

柯婷文＋陶李 扬威东运会泳池

第25届东运会中表现最亮眼的亮位，莫非柯婷文和陶李这两位女飞鱼了。游泳团队在这次赛会猛夺14枚金牌，其中柯婷文和陶李就个夺5枚个人项目金牌，也同时刷新了多项项目的赛会记录。

其中，年仅17岁的柯婷文就在第三次出赛就夺得如此骄人的成绩，来届的东运会应该将继续杀很大。柯婷文也被列为本届东运会新加坡团队最佳女运动员。

另外，新加坡首个杀入奥运会游泳总决赛的泳手陶李，也不是泛泛之辈，同样取得亮眼佳绩，与婷文同样的成为本届东运会最高奖励4万元的得主。

其他表现优异的体育项目包括武术、高尔夫球、马来传统武术、跆拳道、桌球、射击和田径等都取得非一般成绩。

总的来说，我国健儿在本届东运会上的表现突出，年轻小将的实力更加不可忽视。只要持之以恒，我们绝对有理由相信我们的健儿会取得更傲人的成绩。让我们一起期待下一届东运会的到来吧！

传统的童话故事，往往都是英雄救美，白马王子拯救受难的美丽公主。但编剧Alfian Sa’at偏选择了《美女与野兽》非传统的概念，再把他搞乱，以全新搞笑夸张的手法，呈献给大家一部适合全家大小收看的音乐剧。

这一部《美女与野兽》是W!ldrice剧团年度欢乐音乐剧，由去年大受欢迎的Snow White《白雪公主》原班人马再度出击，把大家熟悉的童话故事大闹一番，带给大家两个半小时的欢笑之余，也传达重要的讯息给小朋友们。

这是Alfian第二次写圣诞音乐剧（Pantomime），对这一门艺术有了一定的了解，也能创作出更好的歌词。Alfian表示，今年选择把《美》改编，主要是因为认为故事中的女主角很特别，够英勇，是少数的女“英雄“。

由本地电视与喜剧明星Hossan Leong导演的《美》，连续《白》的风格，动作夸张，大用舞台灯光与特效，这次也加入了更多的互动，让观众参与故事其中。

W!ld Rice剧团这次的《美》讲述一名富有的年轻男子（国际舞台巨星R J Rosales饰）与他家人，在多年前的一个生日聚会上，被一位女魔下了毒咒，全部都变成了家中的家具物品，而该名男子则变成了巨大的怪兽。男子原本是个温顺的男子，变成野兽后，因为无法接受，而变的脾气暴躁，自卑心作祟。唯一能解除魔咒的方法，就是得到一位真心爱自己的美女的吻。

另一个镇上，则住着一位富有爱心的美女（Emma Yong饰）。她家虽然有钱，但她不贪心，不像她那两位总是欺负她的姐姐（由蔡恩莱和Darius Tan反串演出）。一天，她们爸爸要到镇外去办事，姐姐们都要求爸爸帮她们买名牌物品，美女却只希望爸爸能为她找回一颗美丽的玫瑰花，而最重要的是爸爸能平安的回来。

她爸爸出外回来时，在路上看见了一颗非常精美的玫瑰花，而决定去采，没想到，这朵玫瑰花是野兽的心爱之花。野兽为了惩罚美女的爸爸，要求他把家中一位女儿送它做伴。

故事后续发展精彩有趣，除了原著提到的素材，剧中更出现了一般懂得武功的混混，是女魔的儿子的帮派，被派来扰乱一切，不让美女爱上那野兽王子。故事高潮迭起，当中除了由浪漫爱情之外，还有精彩武打场面，更是有教育意义，提醒小朋友和大朋友不要乱摘路边的花草和要爱惜动物。

如之前的圣诞音乐剧，这次的《美》也加入了今年时事新闻元素与口头禅，如之前红极一时的“Boomz”和“Shingz”，还有乘机开一些政治玩笑，但全都是为了好玩，博君一笑。

音乐总监Elaine Chan创作出非常不错的歌曲，但慢歌胜过与快歌，让人留下较深刻的印象。服装设计方面，五彩缤纷，配合近乎完美的卡通般舞台设计，让整个演出活灵活现，有如在童话故事中。

单看这部《美女与野兽》，精彩十足，非一般的家庭飨宴。虽没有Disney动画版的感人，也比去年《白雪公主》较为少一些的“哇“指数，但还是一部非常值得一家大小，或配一群朋友去看的舞台剧。

这个圣诞，就一起大声笑，陪同美女、野兽和他们的家人一同狂欢吧！

I've reach a stage that i feel i need to take responsibilities. but before that..
i need opportunities. really. i need the chance to make the money.
i'm in dire need.

i started teaching tuition.. teaching an AT English. and yes, the lesson was conducted in mandarin.
luckily i learned translation, and new the simple terms like verbs, nouns, grammar, vocabulary, passive and active voices in chinese. it was tough, but I hope i am able to manage, and i'm of help.

i secretly enjoy teaching.
so maybe the teaching track really is what I am suppose to do..
another round.. maybe in the future.

my bills are piling up and i can't run away from them anymore
i'm too much a spendthrift and its time i woke up
and earned my own money..
well..
i'm already a 23 year old and i can't keep depending on my mum
maybe a little
but i hope to be more financially independent in the near future.

on a separate note
i realise i'm really not good as i think i am
and its sort of a wake up call

he is a carefree person. he lives a life of clubs and gym and partying and nights.

not me. i am a student who loves all these. but i'm not entitled to them.

i have my mother to think of. i can be living by myself. i don't have the financial support.

i can't afford the luxury styles.

we shall be good friends. really. better than before.

As part of World Aids Day events, Action for Aids held two exclusive screenings of this special short film commisioned by them, directed by Royston Tan and written by Alfian Sa'at, starring Shane Mardjuki, Jae Leung and Kelvin Ong.

The story goes like this..

Wai Kit (Kelvin Ong), a 23-year-old undergrad living with Justin (Shane Mardjuki), his 27-year-old boyfriend, are about to celebrate their first anniversary together. Justin makes a suggestion as to how to celebrate their first anniversary but was met with a luke warm response from Wai Kit.
Following a call from Jimmy (Jae Leung), Wai Kit wants to move out of Justin's house, leaving Justin wondering what has gone wrong between them.

"Anniversary" is a story of love, of what trust mean and the need to find out the truth. "Anniversary" will touch your heart and remain in your mind long after viewing.

The exclusive screening was held yesterday to two full house crowds at Sinema. Issues raised includes how to pass on the safe sex message and getting tested, and avoiding drugs and group fun, all these messages over to the younger crowd. The short film, unfortunately, got a R21 rating and hence was limited to a more mature crowd. How then, can there be less in-your-face method to bring it to the younger gays in society who might be falling victims into it?

Hope that there will be more screening of this film, both from artistic point of view and advocacy, to show this wonderful show to touch people, as well as subtlely spread the message.

(I was tricked to attend the event because I did not know, no where from the site, that this was a AfA Aids event. I went just based on the fact tt it was a royston tan short film. Damn, i should have done more research.)

There's the places you go which defines you.
There are things you own which decides the place you stand in society.
There are the photographs and people around which say whether you are a who's who in town.

There's the high life.

There are the fashionistas.

I thought it would have suited me.
With an "elite" bunch of friends who's all out there, dressed to be seen, meeting people who blow air kisses around and what's not. The posh nosh.

Well. Been there done that. And sadly, currently, I'm not that, and probably don't wish to be.

I can't afford.
I'm not a filthy rich kid who only lives on threads by Adidas originals and Armani Exchange. I can't seem to dream of being in a tank top costing a whopping $189 to do my workouts. I tried. I really did. I'm exhausted. My pockets exhausted.

Reality check. Done.

Emporio Armani? No.
Dior? No.
Dolce n Gabbana? No.
Y-3? No.
Louis Vuitton? No.
Gucci? No.
Prada? No.

Labels don't make the man. Really. If I really need to look expansive to look good, I'd rather not look good. I just need down to earth friends around me who accept me fir who I am.

Really.

I think affordable garbs can make you look good too.

Good looks are based on perceptions. It's either we persist on living by these perceptions, or we live our own lives.

Drinking n clubbing? Cool? Maybe once in a while. It's not something cheap. The entry, the clothes you need to be in. The partying. The late night cab fare. I should just trounce it.

Really.

Thinking through life and it's ultimate meaning to me. Do I really need to fit into society's conventions to be accepted, to be "cool", to be mister popular? Why do I even need that? Forget about it.

:: OVB _ 谢霆锋《最后》成熟多了惊喜少了 ::

阔别乐坛四年，谢霆锋再次推出全新国语专辑《最后》。听出岁月带来的沧桑，却没加入太多新惊喜。沧桑嗓音仍是特征，在摇滚快歌中发挥得淋漓尽致。

专辑中收录了九首新歌以及一首粤语版歌曲“Tonight”。近年来事业重心放在电影，这张专辑比较像是这些年的电影主题曲精选集。

当中就包括“可以可以吗”和“终点站”。主打歌“终点站”与歌迷们分享他的爱情观，描述着不离不弃的爱情，Nicholas更把歌深情献给妻子张柏芝。

经过人生历练的谢霆锋，明显的在多首歌曲中表示的更成熟稳重。专辑曲风与概念以航空母舰为主，配合着飞行导航者的造型，表现出Nicholas的酷，霸气十足。

开场曲“Tonight”，是首韩语翻唱曲。摇滚曲风强烈，但谢霆锋似乎无法掌控好，在主歌部分，音域偏低，独特标准国语发音更是听来有点辛苦。反而是粤语版“Tonight”，唱得较自然，更有感觉。“新雅廊”和“别管我”很有态度，仿佛回到刚出道时的那种豪爽态度。

抒情歌曲“最后的爱”和“不敢的天才”中，谢霆锋充分表现出浓郁的情感，深情表演的慢歌都相当耐听。值得一提的是，“最后的爱”由林夕改编的词，额有画面感，是久违的典型谢式情歌。

Soler与林夕联合创作的“好样”太“Soler”，虽谢霆锋已尽力表现出自己的rock韵味，却似乎走不出创作人的阴影。

专辑整体来说相当完整，由谢霆锋联合制作，听得出他的想法，更感觉到他的努力。很希望这不会是他的“最后”，相信将来能更有突破与惊喜。

故事内容

在距离电脑发达前，在那个被称为现世的世界中仍然残留日本的原始风景。在一个偏远的小城市，古森太郎、大神信、中岛匡幸这三个中学生都有着自己无法忘记的过去。于是，三人出于不同的理由，他们的魂魄由现世来到了幽世。在那里冒险的三人渐渐知道了很多自己并不愿意去了解的秘密……

动画与音效水准一流

2007年秋季于日本播出的《神灵狩－Ghost Hound》，是士郎正宗与Production I.G公司一起合作的，继《威尔贝鲁物语》后的第二部片子，也是为了纪念Production I.G公司成立20周年的庆祝活动中的一环。

从大阪艺术大学美术学部油画专业毕业的士郎正宗，因《苹果核战记》、《攻壳机动队》等作品而名闻遐迩。目前已经有很多人表示，冲着士郎正宗的旗号，也一定会收看这部《神灵狩- Ghost Hound》的。

整部剧最突出的为背景音效，与动画配合无间，带出了一定的惊耸感觉。22集的动画片故事发展较为缓慢，但故事中的角色都得到妥善处理，都有相当大的发挥和发展。

结局稍显草草了事

部分迷离、部分心理挑逗的Ghost Hound，当中也参杂了一点超自然的元素，题材新颖有趣。故事诉说有理，全剧成功的激发观众的情绪，既兴奋有紧张，唯独结局处理不当，让人感觉有点怪怪的哀伤。

故事内容概括范围非常广泛，角色也有点太多，观众难免会觉得22集太短，似乎过于浓缩。最扣人心弦的，是所采用的阴森背景特效，以及剧中营造出的类似氛围。这其中也运用了流畅的故事发展，让观众自己补充剧集中的小空洞，而玄机确保真相要到最后才会揭晓。

《神灵狩－Ghost Hound》或许因为不恰当的结局，而被批为具瑕疵的一刻宝。但剧集的大半部可看性非常高，就可惜没把故事完整交代。

这是一部值得看的剧集，但你要有一定的耐性才能完整欣赏。若你不介意被一级音效困在充满悬疑的世界里，就来让《神灵狩－Ghost Hound》挑战心理能耐极限吧！

:: OVB _ 水球·猛男·东运会不败的记录 ::

说到新加坡的体坛，大家或许认为表现最杰出的体育项目不过就是乒乓球和游泳那两项。其实，新加坡有个体育项目，成绩骄人，曾有过22次不败的记录。这就是水球（Water Polo）。

新传媒5频道不久前开始播映全新立志偶像剧《水球男孩》（Polo Boys），掀起一股少见的水球热，再加上东南亚运动会（SEA Games）即将开战，大家都把焦点放在帅气英勇的水球猛男上。

对许多人来说，水球是一项相当陌生的游戏。在这就为大家上一堂水球速成班，让大家认识这项精彩刺激的体育吧！

水球怎么玩？

每场水球赛都是在较深的游泳池中举行，池深至少1.8米。两边的球门宽2米，高90厘米。泳池大小分男女赛事，男子比赛泳池是30米X 20米，女子比赛泳池则是25米X 20米。

水球比赛中，两队必须有7位成员，其中6位是球员，另一位则是守门员。每一场球赛分4节（periods），根据奥林匹克运动规则，每一节长达7分钟，第一节和第二节、第三节和第四节比赛之间可休息2分钟。场外替补人员最多为6人，任何一方开始比赛前，均可换人。

比赛进行时，除了守门员外，任何人不得用双手触碰球。运动员都必须穿戴特质头帽以保护头和耳朵。球员的头帽分为蓝、白两色，把双方运动员区分开来，而守门员头帽则是红色。

比赛时，以球体穿过球门线为得分。得分后，双方队员应回到本方半场，由失分一方队员在中线的中心点开球。任何时候，一方控球时间不得超过35秒。运动员们通常都用特别的“前爬”泳式。在水中，抢球是常见到的事，但若裁判认为选手动粗，可能会被罚退出。

水球猛男帅不帅？

新加坡水球队在东运会交出漂亮的成绩。至2007年为止，我国水球男队已连续获得了22次冠军这骄人的不败记录。即将来临的东运会，男子水球队将再次出击，希望再次夺标，摘下第23面金牌。

国家男子水球队现任队长罗南（Luo Nan）

曾是学校水球队出生的水球队队长罗南，英姿飒爽，黝黑肌肤。这将是他第三次代表我国参与东运会。

国家男子水球队队员叶仁凯（Yip Ren Kai）

已多次代表我国参赛的叶仁凯样子成熟稳重，在《水球男孩》中客串一角。

国家男子水球队队员林耀祥（Lim Yao Xiang）

曾是国家游泳队泳手的他，首次参与东运会水球项目。帅气又健壮的他，容易迷倒万千少女。他那六块腹肌，是众人的羡慕。他曾是本地女性杂志票选出50位钻石王老五之一，更在比赛中得到最佳身材的荣衔。

《水球男孩》剧中唯一水球员林建辉（Kiwi Lim）

健壮的阳光男孩林建辉目前是共和理工学院的学生，也是他们的水球队队长。对水球抱着一股非一般热忱的他，为了让水球“专业的上镜”，而“挺身而出”参加《水球男孩》电视剧的面试，更凭那骄人的身材加上好球艺，和一幅酷样而被选上。他是整个戏组中唯一的水球手。

K歌之王陈奕迅最新专辑《上五楼的快活》继续以独特演义方式和十足的态度，带出这十一首歌曲，唱出不同凡响的快活，还带来了不少惊喜！

续去年的畅销大碟《不想放手》收录一系列温情牌情歌后，《上五楼的快活》主要以中慢版情歌为主，收录一系列easy listening的歌曲，K歌指数消退。

E神不是个技巧歌手，在这张专辑中更为明显。态度唱腔在如《心的距离》和《这样的一个麻烦》中突现，情绪容易随着歌曲被带动。

电台第一波主打却还是以较安全的《给你》，听起来舒服，可算是典型的庸懒E式情歌。

专辑名称取为《上五楼的快活》，代表的是Eason在阁楼的录音空间中的休闲创作空间，在这里创造出这一系列歌曲，在这里开心的演唱，活出非一般的快活。这次虽只交出一首作品，但主要焦点似乎放在一些崛起的音乐创作人身上。

苏打绿的青峰就贡献了两首吴式歌曲《这样的一个麻烦》和《谋情害命》，金曲歌后蔡健雅送上了一首《多少》，以及范晓萱也创作出一首《你为什么哭了呢》。首首歌曲都含有特色，但也随着Eason的演义加分不少，唱出另一份滋味。

专辑最令人惊喜的，应该是两手非华语歌曲。Eason唱英语歌曲已不是第一朝了，但《Nothing Ever Happened》感动满分，林伟哲的曲简单，林嘉欣的词加上了彩色。

Eason广东歌听多了，诠释闽南语歌曲或许是第一次。乱弹的阿翔创作的《我甲你》rock味十足，Eason唱得相当自在，只嫌整首歌含有浓厚的“伍佰味”。

总的来说，《上五楼的快活》是一张精心创作与录制的专辑，音乐总类繁多，适合不同口味的听众，商业味与艺术味恰当调和。不凡一同和Eason上五楼去休息一下，快活一下。

星光四少中第二位推出完整专辑的潘裕文，延续之前的EP《夏雨诗》，打玩文字游戏，这次专辑名称《梦。想。家》，代表着Peter为一个拥有伟大的梦，也勇敢想恋家的人。

首先，Peter Pan的唱腔独特，干净而梦幻，轻柔却也带劲，辨识度相当的高。制作人就利用了他那把温柔的嗓子，选手了十首潘式情歌，配合简约的背景音乐，衬托出潘裕文的歌声。

这十首歌曲的特点就在于歌词有诗情画意的境界，有深度，却也易懂，容易让听众进入情况。

首播主打《最想做的事》轻轻柔柔的，大打温暖牌。但危险就在于高音部分有点太过像林志炫。简单旋律却拥有饱满的温情，相信是情侣们的首选温馨歌曲。与徐宛铃合唱的《幸福的时光》可圈可点，两个梦幻的声音应该是完美的配合，可惜听不出什么火花，幸福不到家。十首词都出自姚若龙之手，但配合不同的曲，歌词的意境大不相同。《小甜甜》甜而不腻，《近在眼前》却看不到，却听出潘裕文标高音表的有点吃力。

较独立的两首歌可算是《没有人是傻瓜》和《要走了》。前者为带有几分态度的歌曲，清新的摇滚曲风Peter也能顺心的尝试。后者是蔡敏旻佑的创作，慢版英式摇滚味道十足，感动上场。

《梦。想。家》十首歌听下来，虽不会让人想家，但会让人持有梦想。或许最后一首歌曲最能总结整张专辑的情绪，听了还真《好想放假》。

to heavy workload
realised i've got assignments and e-assignments not done
simply coz my internet is down
(coz i screwed up my bill payment)
and i'm suffering

i lost my sense of urgency
and in dire need to find it back
like immediately
shall be a hardworking person
no more slacking, shopping and sleeping
(the 3 S word vices)
and do my assignments and projects well
and submitted on time
and completed to my best ability
to love my work!

i need to get used to the new change that has taken place
and treasure the loved ones around me
esp the little P that dotes me
and showers me with endless care
and concern for my everything

i shall in return learn to give back
and care more for him
and be the little boy that treasures him..

Simple, carefree days with little to worry, and money and spending was never an issue.

1. The Sundays and Saturdays when I used to laze on bed.

2. Cozy breakfast with surprises here and there.

3. Saturday nights watching TV and lounging at his place.

4. Mornings with sunny side ups and not headaches.

5. Gym sessions that were an enjoyment and not routine.

6. Nice bed stories, not getting hurt by a horny boy..

7. Good dinner meals, and lots of intelligent conversation.

8. Amazing friends, and incredible thoughts in my head.

10. Moving on but not letting go. Best of both worlds is just not possible.

It's time to wake up, Isaac! Treasure what you have and learn to adapt.

Relationships aren't easy to maintain. And it gets worse with experience, age and commitments.

You tend to have expectations, either from what has happened in a past relationship, or what you see on Tv or hear from friends.

When u have a fairly large circle of friends, it's not easy to share a new, blossoming relationship, because you will have to explain what happened between you and your ex and all those rumblings.

It gets even worse each time you change a partner, after a loooooong romance/relationship. You wanted the kick of something new, now you have it, it seems like a burden. To start allll over again is no joke. Undergoing the sweet nothings courtship and ambiguity here and there, to knowing each other's friends and intriguing conversations.. Bleah..

Then you start missing that last person. And start the oft unfair comparison between two who might be extreme polar differents. And the pain and irony of missing someone, something, some action... And the intentions and thoughts of going back with him floats in mind..

It will take sone time, probably a loooong tine to finally enjoy the love n passionate romance that two people share.. Only then when the whole getting used to, and boredom cycle kicks in ultimately. Sadly..

Now, there's new fresh factor for me, just like there's a tinge of tireness.. Seriously.

Was it a right decision to explore new ventures just because of a kittle boredom and tireness? Was I fair to him? Can I still turn back?

I wish. Now. Here I am at yet another crossroads, again..

Juz watched Beauty n the Beast. Had a blast though I prefered Snow White from last year. I completely love Chua Enlai's character, Desiree Bong, as well as the fact that Alfian added many great, current news stories, like a certain Boomzical person n her tag lines.

1. E learning weeks n I've still not e learned anything. What exactly is e learning? For teachers n school to use students for outreach activities or for students to get an unjustified break??

2. Arts Biz is gonna be a fin course. I do want to change. Should I??

3. Secondary school kids are tooooo pampered. Some are just bitches or bimbos. Rawr!!

4. Assignments?? I'm not keeping up pace with school work. What's the rest of sem about? Question marks all over my face. Lost.

5. Like my competitive self, I really want to be in HMS Society Exco.. Haha.. Prolly brought forward the urge from my fantastic or not fantastic experiences (of unfairness??) back in NTU.. (did someone whisper Hall 4 election? I meant screwed, unbalanced, skewed elections..?)

6. Getting sick. My throats feeling a little itch n pain. Shall make friends with a certain sea coconut brand or pipa..

7. Love is tiring. Love is fun. Do I know you? I am not sure. It's confusing. But, I'm happy. Guess that's enough.

8. Money control. I've got no control. When? How much scolding then enough? Hai.. I need to wake up!!!

I am tired.. very tired.. but I do not know why..

1. E-learning weeks are one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Very busy.

2. I feel lost in a weird way. Not knowing what I should do or where I am. I need positioning.

3. I seem overly pursuing something way out of my task. Why am I not studying and working hard on projects.

4. I overspent. Period.

5. Too busy. Far too busy with all the camps, ambassador, shopping, designing for label. Lost sight of target, again.

6. VOX! New Media Camp is, well, not tt exciting and fun. The school I'm attached to (JSS) is erm.. i've got too many negative things to comment. So shall stop. Overall, its a eat n eat camp. Hah!

7. Look forward to making new friends and interacting with hte kids at Arts Biz Camp tmr n thurs. :)

8. Who are my friends? I seem to not know. Blurred. Bad! Weird sensation lik how it was between me and zhiwei in the past is back. I treasure you as one of my bestie. Really.

9. Not focusing on my schoolwork. I really need to buck up. Almost half way through. I can't get last sem's results anymore. It was a wake up call to work harder if I want to go back to Pulau NTU again.

10. Visions blurred. Is dressing up and friends and friendships and joking partners more important? Is shopping important?

11. Alot on my mind. New start of a relationship. With guilt no less. Its happening to me once and over again. Izts bad. But is this the norm? Hope not. I need to settle down. Not young anymore.. What is the meaning to this? I seems to not know. Sad.

I sit down
looking through my stuffs
and thinking through the many happenings
that has happened during this holidays
and as i plan for the next week or so
and for the new semester..

Love:
its a complicated thing
between 2 persons
even more so between 2 guys
especially between 2 people who are so different
in many ways
yet sharing the same passion in life
and in this real world
real things happen
and feelings get tweaked

there's too much between us
and around us
for me not to feel tired
but because we love each other so much
we are able to look past these things
and appreciate each other
forget about the flaws
forgive one and others' misdemeanors
and love on like nothing happened..
i wish
this will stay on..
and on..

was at a class chalet i spearheaded
and am I glad that although the turnout was small
but we had fun
and bonded well
i had a chance to bond with the people were going to
be in the same class as me
and we talked also about many things
about class
about life
it was..

attended BBE YEC's first meeting..
was a nice session selecting the committee
and the various office bearers..
there's going to be a lot to learn from
being a grassroots leader
in this youth group
and i look forward to working with this dynamic bunch of people
from different walks to life
to organise events for my constituency
and making friends in my neighbourhood
btw..
after little rounds of "elections" and "votings"
i am part of the sports and wellness team,
as well as the New Media and Publicity Secretary..
interesting..
as i hope to hone my skills in design and publication
doing publicity works and such
as well as maintaining good new media health
in the group.
might be able to apply wat i learn from webby design in the new sem..

currently out of dragonboating for awhile
because since i left for vietnam till now
my weekends are all jam packed
so..
no river regatta and db trainings for me this half year..:(

as for my new style in the new sem
i've decided
that i should be a fashion boy like i've always targetted
and go all out in dressing everyday
i've bought a big new collection for this sem
and hope to create new styles that will blow ppl's mind
and upping my own style quotient
to go well with my new fashion blog i plan for next year
as well as our little designing tees business:)
my great clothes collection from uniqlo n topman n river island n g2000
all waiting for me:)

that also brings me to another point..
i'm broke
and my lines are cut off temporary again..
i need to get a work
and try to pay off things for myself..

Weirdly
It feels my heart with that awkward tinge
when I saw my hairstylist today

At first,
I had the heart and thought of "betraying" him
to visit another hair salon to do up my hair
and it wasn't the very first time
such thoughts have always risen
each time the bell rings for a haircut
but i have always banished those thoughts
and go back to him no matter what..

when he left klearcut earlier this year
i thought i shall move on and visit another place
but my "bond" with him was so strong
I followed him to his new workplace

its a quiet corner of orchard
at a rather run down shop in cuppage plaza
where its only him n his lady boss
tending to the little hair shop
but it was with him
that i felt comfortable
and that my hair was in good hands
and i'm paying for a great value

Zen may be just 2 years older than me
but he miraculously brightens up my dull look each time
and adds boomz to my hair
and a smile to my face

after that one visit to this "new" place in june
i thought i wud nv return
hahahaha..
because it just didn't fit my stature..

but i missed him so..
he's like a friend
his warmth
his character
those 1 hour interactive sessions once in a long while
for the past 3 years..

it was by chance that i looked for him on facebook 3 days ago
when my hair alarm rang once again
or that i feel hiao to have a new do
and i popped down today
when i entered the building
i question myself why? why i come this place to cut my hair?
the answer was simple: my friend, Zen..

the relationship from stylist and client has evolved
we are friends with that special touch..

and one of the first few opening sentence was:
This might be the last time i'm cutting your hair for you.
I felt the tinge of bitterness
he then told me that he was returning to JB later this month
to venture out and with his friends,
open a salon of his own.
i felt happy for him..

although I do not know if i can go visit him
and receive his treatment again..
(i certainly do hope so.. if i have the time)
i could sense during our conversation
how much he wish i would continue patronising him
despite the distance..

the conversation drifted from one which was sad
and it being the last hair cut..
into a more cordial one
where i shared with him about my life in the last three months
since i saw him
and the trends i picked up
and my possible design business venture..
and into him hoping that i will go over
and we can continue this special friendship..

Ken Hirai's over emotional Ken's Bar album was playing in the background
and the both of us spoke with a little tear oozing out somehow

when the job was done
and i had my new do
getting a little wash
and his nimble little amazing hands running thru
my hair to give it the brilliant style with wax
i can't help but reflect on the wonderful hairstyles he has helped
me create.. and the confidence i had each time..

then it was as if we were separating into worlds of drastic unknown
not known if i will meet him again..
he gave me his mobile back in m'sia
and i greeted him with that smile of mine
and somehow an affirmation that if possible
i'll go over for a visit..
little notes of how to manage
and what style i might want to create next..
then we parted..
wishing each other the best
and hoping to see one another again..

in 2 month's time,
perhaps
i would venture out into another salon and finally
without guilt,
look for another stylist
but somehow
somehow
i feel that i will take a chance in the near future
and visit him
a friend..

:: YEP Vietnam - Another learning journey ::

It has been a great trip to Vietnam
and due to the last three days of culture tours and shopping
i've sort of forgotten all about the torture i've been through
during the 10 days before.. haha

we painted
we played
we chatted
we taught
we interacted
we had so much fun
and endured so much as a group

and most importantly
i've made many new friends
although there were some unpleasant things that marred the great trip overall..

well
at least
i've seen through..
(kan tou le)

the experience is priceless
and i love it all!
no words can express the wonderful time i had!

Probably not known to many of my friends

but i'm pretty active in my own community

often taking part in the activities organised by my CC and RC..

like tours to malaysia, cooking classes,

wine sessions, your regular festival celebrations and such

and it is one of my "dreams" to serve my community

as a grassroot leader

to make my affection to my neighbourhood and country known

(in fact, i love the people in white and aspire to be one,

tt i joined young PAP too.. haha..)

my little dream was a little closer

from today

as i joined my area

Bukit Batok East Youth Executive Committee

to serve my quaint little neighbourhood

and organising activities for the young people in the area..

I've long heard of the youth group and

People's association youth movement

and been trying to get myself involved,

since my pubescent secondary school days

but no news was heard of

and the group always seemed quiet and distant

until recently i got to know of my CC's YEC

thru a volunteers gathering

(i'm volunteering to help out my own RC activities too..)

and this journey began,

the nomination and meetings

till today the Biennial General Meeting

when i've confirmed gotten a seat in the committee.. haha

(it was considered an election,

but.. erm.. walkover la.. heng heng got enough seats for the nominees..)

i don't know what it will be like

but i certainly hope to get myself much more involved

for this is my neighbourhood

if i don't step up and do my part

in making this a tightly knit neighbourhood

who will?

i believe this little journey of being a "little grassroots member"

will be a fruitful one filled with endless

learning opportunities and even more chances to make

friends in my community

and also proves to be steps in my growing journey

as a person and as a community leader (hopefully) in future.

Here we are
once again
at the end of a month
at a time of reflections
and a time to look forward
to yet another exciting, challenge filled month ahead..

the end of august also meant that i ended my first semester in NP
and boy, what a ride it was
i have made friends which i really enjoy being with and talking to
and friends where i can hang out with and have big dreams with
i've learnt, i hope, to handle stress a little better than previously
and also learnt many many new skills

now as we wait for the results
what I can do is to prepare for my expedition too Vietnam in mid sept
where i get to make friends and interact with the kids at the orphanages and day care
and extend my little warmth to them
as well experience it first hand
the many challenges in life others face.

looking back at August..
there has been music and lyrics that kept sticking to me..

and not forgetting our National Day Parade, the Pledge moment,
my 21km Singapore Bay Run Army Half Marathon Challenge
tanning sessions and dragon boat rowing
the many friends i've made
a race along Singapore's special places in the OutRace

林觉豪（T01）

日本戏剧大师铃木忠志（Tadashi Suzuki）曾说：“西方戏剧的主角，就如生活在医院的长期病患，都是病人。编剧，就是这些角色的医生，即也是病情的来源。”（铃木忠志，1982/唐十郎译，1984，页4）就凭这句话，让我深深地被戏剧影响，对实验性戏剧感兴趣，更是投入与各类戏剧剧本，对这类文学产生那份不解的热忱。

我是在小学的时候，被父母逼上英语沟通与戏剧班。当时是以玩玩的心态去参与，主要是为了加强自己的自信心，和建立良好的英语基础。正整六年的戏剧班，让我对这门艺术产生了浓厚的兴趣。到了中学，自然的就加入了戏剧社，在其中也学到了不同的演绎方式，与同学和教师沟通切磋时，认识了铃木忠志这位戏剧大师，偶然对不同戏剧法有了了解和尝试。

铃木忠志以独特的见解，创造出了自己的戏剧教学方式。这一套昭示，如今已被全世界接受与学习当中，最主要，是它勇于把古西方文学代表作拿来加入新点子、新生命，创造出全新的戏剧体验。这套戏法没有久远的历史，但却带给戏剧一个全新的态度以及层面，让大家以不同的眼光去看戏。这也推出了新颖的创作、理念。一套演员教学法让这门艺术潜移默化，成果不只限于演技，同样的也改变了当下新新人类的导演技巧和编剧写作。我就是当中获益不浅的门徒。

带着对“铃木戏剧教学法”的热忱，我有幸在中学时期加入了本地一代戏剧大师郭宝崑所开设的“实践表演艺术学院”。在那一年的课程中，学到了多种戏剧艺术与表演，更有机会向这位本地戏剧教师学习，更曾与郭宝崑老师对过话，过过招。

到我十六岁时，已接触过多种演绎方程式。尝试过传统与新世纪的，也有过中英语表演经验。从中，我还是最爱铃木忠志老师的演绎法，因而深入研究，磨出了自己的风格，投身入戏剧创作与指导。我不断阅读不同戏剧编剧的故事与剧本，从中学习。自己学习，自己领会。秉持着信念，发掘自己的才能。郭宝崑曾提过，“戏剧是生命的反影，更是生命的延伸。戏剧写作是发自内心的、独特的，没得学，也学不来的。”（郭键汶，2003，页194）。我也因此吸收各方创作概念，想不只当个会读戏剧剧本的，或只当演员，在初级学院一年级时，尝试写出生平第一个剧本，参加了当年由TheatreWorks举办的新加坡青年编剧奖，还得了第二名。对当时修读理科的我，不曾受过专业写作训练，让校方感到十分惊讶。

接下来几年，我都参加了新加坡青年编剧奖，年年都如前三甲，当中更有三次夺冠。这当中，我服过兵役，也念了大学。在升大学二年级那年，被本地戏剧团TheatreWorks邀请学习当一部短剧的导演。我那时是随父母心愿念工程系，内心十分不愿。当导演的机会来临时，当然得好好把握。那部剧是本地编剧Robin Loon的《LIV》。当中提到说人最大的困境就是梦境，无论是一直有的梦想，或是白日梦，也可能是晚上做的恶梦，都有它一定的烦恼。（Robin Loon， 2007，页3）我就是追逐着梦想的人，带着许多烦恼，但也把握这每一个机会，享受其中。以为自己是理科的料，却对文科戏剧有着不解深情，始终只能如点水蜻蜓，偶尔过个瘾。

说真的，我一向来都处生于戏剧当中。但都往往没机会去深刻体会或将戏剧当我人生至今的重头戏。戏剧的个各个层面，我都有碰触过，就缺真正的身在戏剧的生活里或真正的去了解它。但戏剧影响了我，让我以不同的角度看人生，体验着真实与虚伪，感受到另一个世界。读着各个不同戏剧文学作品，对我的影响就在于让我痛苦，没有机会去追逐着方面的梦想，却在其中的到了荣誉和加冕，体验过人生的高低潮。一切就如郭宝崑老师所说过，人生的确如戏，戏也的确表现人生，但没真正体验的梦想，最实际、最完整。因为在脑中的画面，永远刻画得最完美。（Kuo Jing Hong，2002，页29）

I like it when I am amidst the process of completing a project.
I don't like it when I am stuck with nothing and think of what to do.. waiting..

I like it when I am feeling grounded, doing things as supposed.
I don't like it when i feel guilty of not doing things i'm suppose to do.

I enjoy every moment of life, probably too relaxed
I don't like it when I feel not serious
and when I feel i'm going nowhere.

I believe I am going somewhere.. now..
in the midst..
enjoying myself..

I want to do so many things..
but there's a limit to what I can achieve.
So maybe I shall not be an overachiever..
and be the one who I really am
don't care about who says what
and what others can do but i can't..

this might be a long and tedious process
a long and tedious challenge within myself and with this world..

where do i have the time to relax?

I need to allocate time better
to be myself.
sleep less
and enjoy each moment I have each day with myself and the world around me..

keep more time to maximising my life!

Right.. so day two was suppose to be depressing as hell
and my nose,
by now,
has become red, swollen, and constantly dripping mucus.
i practically can't feel my nose
majiam its dropped off, like MJ..
aww..
the tickling sensation...
ah-choo..
there it goes again while i'm typing..
and again.. argh!

i need a box/packet of tissue wherever i walk
around the house.. oh man!

my fever spiked to a high earlier in the day
38.4 degrees today..
still considered mild i guess as compared to yesterday's 39..
but after popping the pills
my temp fell to normal range..
and the bad bad sinus/flu started kicking in..
have been sneezing non stop the whole day
still feeling chilly throughout the day
but at least i'm perspiring when the fan is not on..
but if i on the fan..
i'll start sneezing and the cold kicks in..
haiz~

was lying on the bed the whole day
still did not manage to do any work until now..
feeling lethargic and sleepy the whole afternoon
but can't manage to sleep.
kept playing on my phone..

and sneezing..
3 repetitive sneezes..
4 repetitive sneezes..
and during the evening when i was watching TV..
the ultimate 9 continuous sneezes with no pause in between kicked in!
whoa..
my nose almost fell out really..

i even nose bled at least 3 times.. can't remember..
prolly due to my intensive sneezing..
and i coughed out blood filled phlegm around twice today..

haiz~

i really guess its H1N1..
but it could possibly be dengue fever too..
well well..

It's terrible being sick.
Sorethroat, fever, coughs, flu, headache..
It's unbearable and you just can't concentrate.
Even on the bus, I felt a weird sensation..
Sleepy, drowsy, and a cramped up head.
Argh..
My fever even reached 39.0 degree at one point,
Constantly cold n stuffy..
Can't breathe properly.

Finally my fever has subsided a little
And I'm beginning to sweat out the toxins within my body..
I've really nv gotten such high fever in a looooong time lo!

Now feeling really hungry coz the whole day I only managed to drink water
And steal some bites of little Jerry muffin
When my fever was not up..
And a sandwich at NP four leaves..
(the cold one, not the toasted one)
Was so tired n sleepy did not bother to go buy dinner lo.,

Just stole a 鸡蛋糕my mum bought.. Haha..
And it got my throat all choked up again with the irritating feeling.. Haiz..

Shall go sleep le..
Alot of assignments to do..
Mayb this happened for me to catch up with my projects..
But I still have assignments due later thus week
And it's group projects!! How???

Hope to recover soooon..

Sleep le hopefully tmr will feel better..

Btw, my uncle was rather joking when he diagnosed me to have H1N1..

Just returned from stefanie's concert..
and it did make me think quite a bit..

been a rather hectic day,
attended a cooking class in the morning which I thought was rather "fei4"..
then went to dragon boating again..
felt good, although it can be a little tiring..
everyone has a passion
and weirdly, i seem to really want to get aquainted with watersport..
well well..
so back to kallang on saturdays, will be more positive, make friends..
and enjoy my saturday workouts + fun session + tanning session!!

The highlight of the day had to be Stefanie Sun Yanzi's 2009 world tour..
"The Answer Is.."
I am truly blown away by the show, completely!
it was awesome to the max, especially the STAGE!
its the most amazing stage I've seen in my entire concert watching life..
the show was so well planned, with the diamond cut background setting,
and endless changes..
It was a grand style concert I have never seen before!
and the costumes..
it made Stef shine like a confident, mature, radiant lady..

but i must still talk about the stage..
the many transformations and "ji guans" it has is simply amazing..
with just plain white light, it looks rather ordinary..
but when the strobe lighting comes on.. whoa!! tan4 wei2 guan1 zhi3 la!!
the whole lighting on the wonderfully down holed stage backdrop transformed the audience
into another fascinating world.. no bluff wor!
the different raisers and platforms were amazing..
the piano playing section was magnificent..
as stef "floated" in in a moving "cloud.." beautiful!
when it was near the ending.. the "rocks" by the side
was uncovered to reveal the great band who was working "backstage" throughout!

it was the best show I've watched..

the only gruntle i have was that there were not enough fast songs to get the audience standing on thier feet.. although i enjoyed all the songs..
i particularly did not really enjoy "green light" due to its arrangement.. abit la...

the final part when the stage extension moved out and rotated was another highlight..
and also when the image of her projected on a screen singing..

all these has to be experienced live at SIS for one to admire the whole beauty la!
seriously!

the title "The Answer Is.." was very cleverly brought out through the different segments..
but mainly, the key idea was that one should do whatever he/she wants to..
without much restrictions.. enjoying one's every moment, appreciating what he/she has..
that is the Happiness.. and that is the answer.. to life's never ending question..

I was inspired.. to take everything in my way..
to plan my daily live properly
to not waste any more time
and to try spending wisely from now on..
be a man that can be trusted and be a man of dignity..
excel in everything
at least attempt them..
don't give empty promises..
or dream too far out..
be realistic in the goals i set
and achieve them!

Be myself and be happy..
I hope that is the answer to my life's neverending question
and yours too!

Hello everyone,

As time past, I really wonder who are the ones who do pop by my blog once in awhile
who really bother's readin my blog to know who I am and how i'm doing
or any interesting stuffs I've been up to in the days before..

well
I think I've let many friends who followed my blog down..
my blogging have drastically decreased in recent times
especially since my birthday tt time
My sincerest apologies..

well, just a few updates..

Its the end of week 11 at CMC in NP
and the assignments are beggining to pile up..
poster design.. photography portfolio..
psychology projects...
design portfolios...
film project... study into mass communication, effects and components..
chinese writings... my CCA at OurVoiceBox.sg..
preparation for Danny Yeo's
lessons and tests in presentation
(i'm gonna teach my class Mambo dance moves.. haha, researching it now!)

and it gets really stressful.. as much I have tried to do my job on time
however.. it always seem impossible.. oops.. end up doing many last minute works since..
I shall change that!

really need a good break and go out with my close friends..
prolly for a holiday
never done that before..
i still very very much look forward to going Taiwan..
that is my biggest dream!
wonder if it will happen this year...????

My injuries have been improving, even though I did nothing to it..
and will be back in action in July.. this month..
I'm getting geared up for writing another play in 24 hours on 18-19july at marina barrage..
and I'll be getting back to dragonboating as a form to train up and get a tan.. LOL!
as soon as.. next week! cannot be lazy anymore.. its time!
will be watching Sun Yanzi's concert on 11th July as well..

gave up my chance to be NDP Usher this year because I think I can't cope with my work
and the training period got me a little bit down, because those weeks were really tight
with projects and tests due then..
so, no NDP this year, But I still look forward to catching it on TV!!
(unless friends want to meet up for dinner on tt day la)

Oh ya!
I'm also really excited as plans are in place for my primary school friends to meet up sometime in August! can you believe it? my primary school friends whom imany i've not met for a good 10 years.. and its all due to the power of facebook, that we have the chance of getting back...

our proposed meeting for chestnut 4A got stalled along the way.. people are just too busy when they grow up la! hope to meet those long lost friends from chestnuts too!

well, after this ssemester, I'll be heading down to Vietnam for a youth expedition project..
really looking forward to it
might be a life-changing experience! gotta start planning for it soon..
(i'm a project leader for a self-esteem lesson for the poor children over there.. omg, how??)

With lofty ambitions to start my own fashion and lifestyle magazine is still fresh in my mind as ever
I need collaborators la! anyone who might read this and keen in helping my kick start this,
either just by a blog then move from there
or got lobang help me learn how to establish or handle such a magazine..
do get to me ya! haha!

on a sidenote
this new idea came to my mind during a lesson sometime tis week..
prolly cause I was having lesson for visual comm (film)
I thought that if I were not to be able to get good enough results to enter university
(for that I mean NUS FASS/SMU Social Science/NTU HSS or WKWSCI)
I might as well now use my knowledge and my passion in creative things
built up a nice portfolio in design and film and photography..
and hope pursue a degree in NTU ADM Art Design Media.. in film or photography..
orh.. the days in NTU CAC, Epiphany, Hall 4... orh.. i miss my NTU days!!
(mayb NUS is fun.. LOL!)

Recently
W has been randomly singing songs

he would then hunt for it on youtube

Its been a looooooong time since I last cried
not that I specifically remembered when that was
but I do remember it was because I broke up with someone..
see.. guys cry too when a good relation ship comes to an end ok..

just as well
it was sad for me
thus I cried when I saw a good relationship ended
as well as my relationship with this fictional character on the macbook screen
as I was watching Zettai Kareshi (chinese：绝对情人）
currently seen on Channel U on Fridays at 1130pm.

well well..
its a Japanese Drama about Kronos Heaven, a high tech science company
and their latest technology, a robot dedicated to love,
Nightly Series 01.
It began when a temporary staff, Izawa Riiko, met Kronos scientist Namikiri-san
at a pub she frequents..
he "introduces" her to the super lovable robot
and there starts a 5 days free trial of the robot..
before long, a love hate relationship grows
way out of proportion
and then there is Riiko's boss
another uber handsome Asamoto Soushi
who begins to fall in love with Riiko and her choux creme
(wat we know as cream puff, the beard papa type..)

the story is suspense filled,
funny at times
and more oft than not
heartwarming
i grew overly in love with the characters during the 11 episodes
which I finished within 2 days
and also during the special finale
(which I understood why they created, but somehow I felt it was quite unnecessary)

I still am completely mesmerized by lead actor Tanjo Night
(played by速水直道Hayami Mokomichi),
whom I seriously think looks like Dylan郭品超。
Soushi san, played by水岛宏Hiro Mizushima,
is such nonchalence at the start,
but soon he will grow in you.
相武纱季Saki Aibu，the female lead, is rather natural..
bet you'll hate the devilish "good friend" mika san
whom plot takes awhile to digest.. (not a very clear character actually).
the comic moments of namikiri san is also something worth watching for.. hehe..

it brings back the good old passion for J-drama
since the days of Hideaki Takizawa.. Haha..
now tt i've learn a little Jap,
its fun watching J-Drama and understanding some terms in it
especially when Naito says.. yo kata (i understand)..
Wahahaha!!

although its a little dated, this series,
but its definitely worth the watch
I must thank Channel U for ignited my passion in J Drama again..

I'm watching Oh! My Girl, starring Hayami Mokomichi next!!!

I thought to myself as I was my loooong bus and train ride home
and I really happy?
wat really makes me happy?
i think these days of "waste"
and letting time dwindle away are certainly not the ingredients to happiness.

I need to challenge myself somehow
to step out of my comfort zone
and not be the lazy bum I have been all these 23 years

studying is about working hard to pursue your ultimate dreams
slacking and waiting for something to happen
you will probably pass
but thats by a stroke of luck

i have walked several wrong paths in my life
and enjoyed quite a bit of luxury already
why do i keep insisting on such a lifestyle?

so many times,
i've told myself that i've to buck up.
but more than ever
its said not done
i'm still in my comfort zone
sleeping.. going out, doing aimless things

change? where?
in attitude
in thinking
for a better life

there are so many things i need to change
to be better in behavious
stop putting aeroplanes
be a man of my words
stop making empty promises
don't over indulge in the good things that happen by
think before making a purchase, whether it's necessary
be sure of wat i can do before committing myself
then commit myself fully to it
try and really spend all your available time to my commitment
be a better boy

:: Preceptions ::

Perceptions is the process whereby one becomes aware of the existence of an object or an event. In my point of view, it often is influenced by factors surrounding it, and more often than not, result in subjective opinions on that matter. One looks at something from their own perspective, they hold on to that perspective and angle, and believe strongly in it.

When opposing viewpoints are raised, one might react in two ways. The first being they react strongly against it, while the second being a change in viewpoint to follow the "majority" to "blend in".

This process of Perceptions involves three stages, including selection, organisation and interpretation.

In the array of information that is available to one, one often selects the information that stands out to him/her, and which has an impact of a certain degree to him/her. He/she thereafter organises thoughts of the particular information, sorting out the details that he/she has an opinion on, before giving his/her own interpretation on that information. This whole process actually happens in just a few seconds, but is imprinted in the mind for a very long time thereafter.

This perception created is strictly the viewpoint of one, and can be right or wrong.

To me, more often than not, I carry these "perceptions", and at many times, being biased, and might influence the people around me to these perceptions, negative or not. Especially in the case of stereotyping.

Being in a competitive society such as that in Singapore, and also being a "not-so-booksmart" person, I've had, at many points in life, steoreotyped different groups of people, and putting them in the negative light.

Back in my JC days, being from a bottom ranked JC, I often "talked bad" with regards to students from top ranked junior college, basing it on past knowledge and experiences of interaction. I would always label them as "aloof, arrogant, and "no-life"". It was only after in depth interaction with someone from a top JC, that I know my perceptions was wrong, and that I should not label and classify someone or a group so easily.

When I was in university, I was entered in a faculty which was dominated by "foreign talents". Many of these are scholars and are highly competitive. In the brief first few dyas I started school, and living in the hostel, I had terrible experiences with these Chinese nationals. This led me to stereotyping them and through conversations with friends, affected them, labelling and giving them negative nicknames. We would not see their "good", but to highlight their bad. They were classified as having bad dress sense, poor hygiene, uncouthed, etc. Me and my friends would instantly shun them on the streets and in the campus. In the later days when I was "forced" to do projects with a few of them, my impressions changed and was once again proven wrong.

As humans, we are prone to developing such perceptions about people, things and events, good or bad, but we should always try to be objective, and conduct perceptive checks before passing judgments on them. We should always try to be rational, and look at things from different angles, and accepting that there are different things and people in the world, things happen for a reason, and be able to look at things in different views.

:: 谢霆锋《最后》成熟多了惊喜少了 ::

阔别乐坛四年，谢霆锋再次推出全新国语专辑《最后》。听出岁月带来的沧桑，却没加入太多新惊喜。沧桑嗓音仍是特征，在摇滚快歌中发挥得淋漓尽致。
专辑中收录了九首新歌以及一首粤语版歌曲“Tonight”。近年来事业重心放在电影，这张专辑比较像是这些年的电影主题曲精选集。
当中就包括“可以可以吗”和“终点站”。主打歌“终点站”与歌迷们分享他的爱情观，描述着不离不弃的爱情，Nicholas更把歌深情献给妻子张柏芝。
经过人生历练的谢霆锋，明显的在多首歌曲中表示的更成熟稳重。专辑曲风与概念以航空母舰为主，配合着飞行导航者的造型，表现出Nicholas的酷，霸气十足。
开场曲“Tonight”，是首韩语翻唱曲。摇滚曲风强烈，但谢霆锋似乎无法掌控好，在主歌部分，音域偏低，独特标准国语发音更是听来有点辛苦。反而是粤语版“Tonight”，唱得较自然，更有感觉。“新雅廊”和“别管我”很有态度，仿佛回到刚出道时的那种豪爽态度。
抒情歌曲“最后的爱”和“不敢的天才”中，谢霆锋充分表现出浓郁的情感，深情表演的慢歌都相当耐听。值得一提的是，“最后的爱”由林夕改编的词，额有画面感，是久违的典型谢式情歌。
Soler与林夕联合创作的“好样”太“Soler”，虽谢霆锋已尽力表现出自己的rock韵味，却似乎走不出创作人的阴影。
专辑整体来说相当完整，由谢霆锋联合制作，听得出他的想法，更感觉到他的努力。很希望这不会是他的“最后”，相信将来能更有突破与惊喜。

出道10年的Joey容祖儿，刚推出了全新粤语专辑《A Time For Us》。刚获得2008年IFPI香港唱片销量大奖的Joey，在09年强势举行一连串演艺生涯10周年的庆祝活动，以这张广东大碟打头阵。《A Time For Us》以“我们的时期”为主题，收录了10首完美精彩的歌曲，呈现出粤语歌坛天后十足的唱腔与动感。

要在现今的乐坛打出个名堂，若不是有突出的外形，就是拥有绝佳的歌声，不然就是多才多艺，当创作型歌手。容祖儿却刚巧参杂在其中，外表不算太突出，歌声也不是特别好，但幸运的，碰到好的专辑制作班底，为她量身打造出首首动听金曲，一张张销量高的专辑。

这次《A Time For Us》也不例外。汇集了粤语歌坛中金牌音乐创作人和制作人，C.K.Yong，Eric Kwok和林夕等人，每首歌都让Joey有巨大的发挥空间。

Joey的专辑一大特征是传唱度高的K歌。主打歌“可歌可泣”就是个好例子。林夕的词加上C.K.Yong的优美曲子，听起来舒服之余，主旋律容易记得，听几次就能一次哼唱。

以Joey的知名度，广告代言不必多说。专辑就收录了3首Joey的广告歌。除了“可歌可泣”（百老汇电器广场广告曲），还有香港麦当劳广告曲“我所知的两三事”和可口可乐广告曲“开动快乐”。这两首快节奏的歌曲，调皮可爱。“开动快乐”让我想起王菲的“你喜欢不如我喜欢”，感觉却有点不同。口哨声是该品牌的特征，给人一种愉快的感觉，但本人觉得有一点别扭。
抒情歌曲方面，“搜神记”，“圆谎”和“时不兴我”都相当耐听。“It Doesn’t Matter”中，Joey歌声发挥很好，最能听出她的进步。“心贼难防”曲风新颖，玩出了一定的精彩，也表现出了Joey转音的实力，够新鲜。

专辑造型以非洲流浪民族为主题，附加的56页写真集是Joey迷必得拥有的。专辑整体制作用心，值得收藏。

这整张专辑再次让Joey尝试了不同的曲风，随着经验开始掌控不同的歌唱技巧。10年来累积的用心，让这专辑精彩，动听。

:: 吸收。反思。分析。- 非政治/人权？那又凭什么？::

这几个星期以来，最令我关切的新闻，就是关于缅甸扣压审判前领袖翁山淑枝的这件事。对很多人来说，或许翁山淑枝这个名字，是既熟悉又陌生的，因为，我们在过去的十多年，断断续续都听到这个名字，总是知道这位女士是的不屈不挠的政治领袖，但对她实际的情况，却大多一知半解。

在今天读到的一份保障报道，是我这几天来，最盼望读到的，但却同时令我感到非常失望。这报道就说明了缅甸政府对外界，尤其是美国和亚西安群国，对于缅甸所施加的压力，给予的回应。缅甸是由军士政府所管制的。而翁山淑枝，就是在他们眼里最大的威胁。这十几年来，军事政府得权之后，都在避免这让翁山淑枝带党出选选举，处处为难这位杰出的政治领袖，无论她是多顽强的支撑着，都似乎无效。这是民主吗？]

大约的解释目前的情况与事情的发展。翁山淑枝是于进5年前被扣压，以“政治”因素，违反条规，被判家中服刑。这段4年的家中服刑之前，翁山淑枝已在缅甸的Insein Prison牢房里“蹲”了一段时期了。这次的家中徒刑，原本已经将近到期，会在过去的26日被释放出来。就刚巧，在本月初的时候，有一位美国的记者“偷渡”过江到文山淑枝的湖边家中，并以“累”为理由，要求住在她家中。翁山淑枝原本不肯，毕竟是有可能触徒刑条规，拒绝了该男子，过后又已人道理由，“收留”了他两晚。怎知此事被军方知晓，告她触犯条规，这次刑法，若罪名成立的话，是在度入狱长达5年。刚巧缅甸将在明年前举行民主大选，这一切，是巧合吗？]

过去的几天，连连发生了一些事。被扣压的翁山淑枝已开始出庭作证。在出庭的第一天，她已说明了自己的立场，表示是以人道的理由收留了该男子，并纯属给予他住宿。翁山淑枝更是坚持自己并没触犯任何的条规。在那之前，翁山淑枝首次被批准于一些国家的外交部官员与记者会面，但详细内容却是客观话语，似乎没有像是她会说的真正的话语，带有照稿说话的嫌疑。被扣压的这段日子，除了中国是保持中式立场之外，美国已经发言指责这次的事件。而缅甸的直接邻居，亚西安国家，都有意施加压力，提出了反对的异议。原本，亚西安组织个国是保持观望的态度，也曾经表示决不参与成员国的内部政治。但这次，其余的成员国都已表示立场，不鼓励继续扣压审判翁山淑枝。

昨天，缅甸的军方政府终于回话了。他们表示，这次扣压，绝对是内政法律的因素下扣压翁山淑枝，绝无政治或人权因素的干扰，更是提出立场说，决不向外界所施加的压力妥协，劝请其他国家避免插手，包括联合国世政府。

这样短短的新闻发布，令我非常难受。翁山淑枝到底犯了什么错？她的杰出才能，是众所周知的。怎么说，她也曾得过诺贝尔和平奖的加冕。若这一切不是因政权的因素，真的让人无法了解。

另一方面，文山淑枝在过去的十五年期间，当中有多达十三年是在监狱里，否则就是在家中服刑，这样过的。她坚持相信有着自由的一天，换回的则是世人的关心，自己的痛心。理想的和平与真理，何在?? 这样已外界视为非犯法的条列扣压他人，还连续已外界视为不成立的法则判罪他人，这不是触犯人权，是什么？

刚巧，在几个星期前也提到了一部本地话剧，由李邪所主演的“狂女日记”，还在当时说了此角色与翁山淑枝的相似度。当时说了，就算他被放出来，人家还是会已有色眼镜看她，觉得他是疯子。照情况看来，翁山淑枝这次判刑已相当确定是得服了。这样坐牢，也难免会成为政治疯子。
接下来，也只能密切关心局势的发展，为人权和政治权利保持己见。我相信，总有一天，缅甸军方政府会倒塌，由一个真正能带国家走入繁荣的政府取代。多久?我不敢想。希望，只能希望天理存在，放了翁山淑枝吧。

just finished my first chinese essay assignment
which is supposed to be of 1200-1500 words..
amazing but true

guess wat..
i busted it..
final character count?
1899..
but well
i would say tt includes a section of lyrics of a sunyanzi song which is approx 150 char
so that does not count
plus an average of 10% of commas and fullstops..
makes it around 1500 la hor..

thats the thing
when u dun have something to start with
you worry
and when u start writing, you have so many descriptions you want to add in
and you might think very far how to develop the writing
then in the middle
you feel juxtaposed
if you want to carry on writing, when should you stop
and how shud it be developed?
will I be able to hit the word limit?

then when you get near the upper limit
you have even more things to write
then shit!
you fly past the upper limit and
pray no one notices that you have flown thru the roof

well
i managed to write my essay and re read it through
and though it still feels farny at some part

i find this essay really interesting
especially since its partially true
though mostly made up
(stop fantasizing, isaac!)

I was tanning by the pool with dearie when he read out this section.

It wasn't something that I have not read before.

But reading it again from this perspective gave me insight.

I reflect too much, and in this process could have been

but well
that IS the case
i've had no time and no creativity in even expressing my own thoughts
too much effirts have been INDULGED into writing for the above platforms
i've relatively no time in writing for myself
it seems now like a chore to be blogging
and that is sad

i find my life rather stale
not in the sense that its been boring
but i try to bring the "news" in my everyday life
first hand translate into chinese
and post it on diandao
which is supposed to be a platform of "communication"
between classmates and teacher danny yeo
but a you may know
writing there is not like writing as Isaac
because i need to take note of my language and to be able to convey the messages across
carefully and properly
and seriously lor,
how personal can you get writing in chinese right?
haha..

i now try to make it a point
as a promise to myself
that I will blog here,
in ENGLISH
with my viewpoints no matter what
to try to keep a promise and staying true to myself
blog at least three times a week
sharing my thoughts
and not just blaming my no time and no energy on my coursework..
damn..

but then again..

i've got a creative essay of 1000 words due in 2 days
5 business cards and logo designs to complete and a formal presentation
10 photos in different views to take (i need models!)
a project about media in taiwan
a project about social psychology to implement and experiment and report
and a blog to write on and communicate..

whoa.. never felt so "fulfilling" in my life

but well... at least i'm happy! i hope.. :)

:: 神木与瞳摇滚精神震荡Lunar Bar ::

星光二班的赖铭伟和黄美珍（神木与瞳），二度来新在克拉码头Lunar Asian Fusion Bar 举行小型售票音乐会，全场爆满，摇滚音乐high 翻天。

超人气摇滚男女组合神木与瞳，继去年底到新加坡宣传新专辑时，曾到Lunar举行新歌演唱会。因反应热烈，在今年5月20日晚上，再度回到Lunar开唱。和现场乐队一同表演，除了唱出多首《为你而活》专辑里的歌曲，也为观众带来其他艺人的经典歌曲，摇滚精神引爆全场。

本地歌迷熟记非主打

音乐会一开始，身穿黑白线条搭配的Yuming和Jane，默契无间，带来了几首强劲的歌曲，如“武装的蔷薇”和“爱在末日前”，Yuming（赖铭伟）弹着电吉他，配合美珍高亢的嗓子，首首歌曲都让现场的观众一起跳起来。

进入Unplugged不插电的部分，Yuming开玩笑说要暗下灯来，才更有气氛。带来抒情歌曲包括“爱恋”和“理由”，显示出两人的唱功。非主打“不放”即使很少在公开表演，但这次表演在场的歌迷一却能跟着合唱，两人都赞本地歌迷厉害，熟背了专辑中所有的歌曲！

摇滚精神震荡全场

演唱抒情主打《草戒指》时，神木与瞳上前与歌迷握手，拉近与歌迷们的距离，更带领全场一起挥手，大合唱。过后，美珍松了口气，表示终于唱完所有抒情歌曲的喜悦，准备把音乐会推向另一个高潮。

把台上的乐器推到一旁后，两人演唱了张惠妹的“三天三夜”，继续high爆全场，舞池里的歌迷更跳动起来。Yuming和美珍飙唱的“自由”，也让人听出耳油！

最后，神木与瞳与歌迷一起大合唱成名曲“为你而活”，歌迷的声音一度还盖过了美珍的歌声，摇滚精神震荡全场，音乐会结束后仍依依不舍和歌迷们道别。
